I'm not sure why i remembered that way and if it's even true‚ but this is by no means a dud #episode; it's not a classic either‚ but a rather middling entry which concentrates more on familial melodrama than any real mystery plot #(save a last minute twist). a rare tv role for Julie Christie (she'd quit tv for the movies shortly after her starring role in 1961's A for #Andromeda‚ and when this aired she'd just made her first big splash in Billy Liar; hollywood's gain was the small screen's loss)#john serret's French Canadian policeman is (at least initially) much more Simon friendly than the usual cop; his subordinate Ross Parker #gets some nice moments as the hapless tail that Templar ends up treating to fancy dinners and cognac. the fight budget seems to have gone #up yet again‚ leading to a highly unlikely scene of Moore diving through a plate glass window and sprinting away without a scratch #oh‚ and whilst Simon has done a lot of smooching of his love interests of the week‚ this is the first episode to heavily imply that they #actually sleep together (must be the Canada air)

A Luzerne County man is facing voter fraud charges Wednesday night. Investigators say he signed the name of his deceased mother to an absentee ballot application.

VOTER FRAUD IN PENNSYLVANIA!

The mother of 67-year-old Robert Richard Lynn passed away in May of in 2015. Election workers were therefore somewhat surprised to receive a signed application from her for an absentee ballot in the 2020 election, claiming she needed it because she would be “visiting great-grandkids Oct. 24-Nov. 10.”

At first Lynn denied knowing anything about his mother’s forged signature, but eventually he admitted to the crime. He was arrested and charged with “forgery and interference of an election.” Lynn’s arrest took place in late October--before the election--so fortunately his attempted voter fraud did not actually affect anything in any way.

“Luzerne County officials say they cannot remember the last case of alleged voter fraud in the county.” This was the first voter fraud arrest there in 30 years. Still, isolated incident though it may be, it appears Trump was right after all. Election fraud does in fact exist in Pennsylvania.

Now who do you suppose would have gotten Lynn’s mother’s illegal vote?

“Lynn is a registered republican.”

But does that mean Lynn supported Trump?

“Lynn’s Facebook posts show that he is a fan of Trump’s and a bitter critic of Trump’s Democratic opponent, former Vice President Joe Biden.”

Guess Trump won’t be mentioning this in his lawsuits.
