Роберт Смёрк – Венецианский купец, акт IV, Сцена суда. Коллекция Королевской шекспировской театральной труппы ~ Стрэтфорд-на-Эйвоне Robert Smirk - The Merchant of Venice, Act IV, Court Scene. Collection of the Royal Shakespeare Theater Company ~ Stratford-upon-Avon
I gotta say, evil architect is not usually something one sees in fiction
So this is the design of Milbank Prison the tunnels of which are what’s under the Magnus institute. Jonah had big plans for Milbank trying to hire Jonathan Fanshaw, and as mentioned by Smirk might have some Architectual significants to the Watcher’s crown.
I didn’t really think long and hard about which were balancing which, but my main theory is that the Eye was supposed to watch over the other fears while the fears kept each other in balance. Flesh isn’t included because at the time Flesh wasn’t one of the Dread Powers.
Work in progress:
So here’s how I think Smirk’s Fourteen Fears balance. Explanation under the cut. The Bloody 3 (Flesh, Slaughter, and Hunt) gave me some trouble. If anyone has input I’d love to hear about it.
I’ve also tried to group similar powers together. It might be a circle isn’t the best representation of the balance because some I feel could be closer to others (Shrug). I also have a bit on where I think extinction might fit in.
I found it interesting that no matter how I paired things the Beholding and the Lonely always ended up on opposite or near opposite sides of the board.
