First Details On Horror Web Series Directed By Tom Savini and George Romero’s Daughter 

Yes, the legendary makeup effects artist is back in the director’s chair!

As revealed on social media this week by Tom Savini and his team, Savini has stepped behind the camera for a new horror web series that just began filming, with episodes directed by Savini himself along with Robert Tinnell and Tina Romero, George Romero’s daughter.

The series is a collaboration between George Romero’s filmmaking program and Savini’s makeup effects program, both offered by PA’s Douglas Education Center.

“Cant reveal too much, but prepare yourself for magic tricks, violence, revenge, and horror in the style of a silent film,” Savini teased over on Instagram.

“Imagine Oldboy shot as a silent film starring Lon Chaney Sr. It’s violent AF!!!” actor Jason Baker also teased in a tweet.

Robert Tinnell wrote and produces the web series.

           It's a trade paperback by Bo Hampton and Robert Tinnell. I remember I walked into Gary's and said 'Hello, fine young gent. Have you any horror comics like the old style Tales from the Crypt?'      Okay, that is probably not how it went, but you get the idea. The young gent (who I never saw there again somehow) was very nice and recommended Riven. I liked the cover, and it had the age restricted sticker, so I knew it was either gorey or nudey. I was interested.

     The young gent said that the art inside was just like the art on the outside. (Hey, you should totally check it out!)

I need to remember to add a witty comment here.

     I enjoyed this the first time around. The second time I still liked the story, but I managed to catch two pieces of info that contradicted each other. Both of them were near the end of the story, so I will not point them out and ruin it.

     If you want an overview, here it goes: A girl was orphaned at a young age. When she is adopted, she gains a friend and grows up to the age of about 13 and hits puberty. She has a mental episode and falls over the side of a low creek bridge, hits her head, and is in a coma.

     She is in that coma for five years, only having massive brain activity once a month. She awakens one day and has to catch back up on her five years of life while simultaneously trying to figure out what these visions are that she has had.

     Here is a hint: A wolf creature is involved! And my favorite scene involves that wolf creature on a boat.
