It will show how scientific principles, either physical or chemical, can be exploited in the making process – or how science can directly influence the production, or be the subject of the artwork. XenoCell series is a reimagining of what an organic cell is, and how the act of making something that seems familiar shows just how alien it may actually appear. Enclosing these 'glass cells' in glass is equivalent to samples forever encased in a petri dish or a glass slide under a microscope. Encased Metal series exposes the reactions that occurs when metals, in this case copper and steal wool, are exposed to increased temperatures and molten soda glass.
