Check out these pictures of Teatro Colón’s production of “Aida” by Giuseppe Verdi. With Latonia Moore (Aida), Nadia Krasteva (Amneris). Riccardo Massi (Radamés), Mark Rucker (Amonasro), Roberto Scandiuzzi (Ramfis) and cast. It was a Roberto Oswald production and the conductor was Carlos Vieu.
I had a great time since it’s an opera that I really love. Not only for the amazing and beautiful music but for the great dramatic scenes and the characters, except Radames who’s a jerk and a little insubstantial (like mostly tenors), but Aida and Amneris are wonderful. Unfortunately this production was pretty motionless, clearly they didn’t focous on the relationship between the characters and they just work on making beautiful set and costumes (actually it was a 1990′s production). But it’s Verdi, I always cry.
