Children, part one
I've just finished watching the recent Downey Jr./Paltrow, Paltrow/Downey Jr., Human/Human, Iron Man movies, and there's definitely a trend going on here: children in danger (specifically young boys in danger, for some reason). First movie had that one kid in the terrorized village, second movie watches a small but otherwise cleverly disguised Iron Man double targeted by scary robo-super-soldier #7, and the third movie upgrades the obligatory child role to supporting cast member so that the audience feels concern for an actual character instead of "insert child with appropriate emotional strings attached" #replaceable when the kid is threatened by Mr. Perpetually Almost Exploding. Here's hoping the fourth Iron Man movie will continue the trend with a child clone of Tony Stark being chased by a literal manifestation of his own daddy issues, preferably in robot form.
