Show Me Love - Robin S.🎶
There really was so much versatility in the Korg M1 Organ 2 preset, which provided two distinctly different sounds that defined such a hefty chunk of dance music throughout the early-to-mid-90s. And Robin S's "Show Me Love" uses them both. The main, bubbly riff employs it as a bass (heard on Marc Kinchen's iconic "Revisited Dub" of Nightcrawlers' "Push the Feeling On" too), and then later on in the second half of the song, the same preset is used to produce those warm and fuzzy, stabbing chords that were also used to great effect on Crystal Waters' "Gypsy Woman (She's Homeless) (La da dee la da da)." It's the same synthesizer and the same preset, yet two completely different and definitive sounds! Cool, huh? 😎
Yesterday I said I wanted to make a playlist of tunes that use the Korg M1 Organ 2 preset, but I should've clarified that I want to make one for that warm and fuzzy chord sound specifically, not the bubbly one, even though the bubbly one is spectacular too.
Decided to up the BPMs on the original a little bit and make it a summer chill mix. Enjoy.
