After the incident that had damaged Robin’s comms device shortly after he’d been equipped with it, Skylar hadn’t necessarily been expecting a repeat incident - and yet here he was in the engineering wing, putting the final touches on a new device for his little brother after he’d apparently lost his in the ocean. He wasn’t upset about it, but the timing was less than ideal - just another few days, and he would have been able to work on this with two hands instead of the one. It was fine though, he had it handled. After pinpointing the device’s location and determining that it would take too long and too many resources to try and recover, he’d initiated a remote wipe of the device itself. Anything essential on it was backed up to The Prosperity’s systems - so the next step from there was transferring that data to a new device, and then finally making a new case that matched Robin’s previous one. It wasn’t too complicated of a process, and he always had a few spare comms devices at the ready - so it wouldn’t be long until the new device was ready to go. A good thing, too - the less time the ship’s First Mate went without a comms device, the better.
“Hey,” he greeted when Robin arrived. “I’m almost done here - just wrapping up on the case,” he informed the hybrid. “Quick question though - do you have some kind of tech curse I should know about?”
