Robinwood Park, West Linn, Oregon

West Linn is home of two skateparks--- an amazing, high-speed, professional level concrete park, and a smaller park for beginners at Robinwood. It’s a great idea, creating a mellower and separated space for beginners. 

The park is very reminiscent of the DIY spots that pop up on old foundations. There’s a small, but semi tight quarter pipe, a steep bank hip, a flatbar, and some ledges. The park is set in a shady wooded area, making this a popular stop on the hottest days of summer.

Robinwood is a great park for a mellow day away from the more hectic skateparks in the Portland area.

Reading for 2021, "The Year of Building Up"

Decided to do a quick to card pull. Two of Wands appeared from the #RobinWood, facing me in the deck as i shuffled, so I took him out and set him up to sort of oversee the reading. It didn't feel like that was the card I was meant to take on its own. And so I took another card and got the Knight of Wands. Then from the #EarthMagicOracle cards I pulled the Rainbow card. If you are familiar with the way that Steven Farmer writes about this card you'd understand why it felt like such a great mix. Basically the time for despair and tears is done now - the perception of life takes on a new hue. The way that the colours reflect off the bits of water in the air, the way that we can perceive life is ready to play its role. The Knight of Wands says hey you know what? It's time to do some stuff! It's time to try something different. The rainbow card reinforces that idea but in a very gentle way.
