Ok, but hear me out: Juniper discovering she's bisexual in a reverse Shang falling for Mulan/Ping way.

So, we know canonically that Juniper has a thing for passionate, loud people in red based off of her crush on Apollo. What's curious to me is that she has a friend who's the exact same way; and what's even more curious is that though the game does play with the idea of Hugh having a crush on her, it never does the same with Robin.

Here's my theory, at least what I came up with so far: Juniper actually did have a thing for Robin, but being Juniper, was too shy to admit it. But then, Robin turns out to be a girl, and not only do Juniper's feelings for her not change at all; they actually grow stronger.

Okay, so I'm going to tell y'all about something I found out today.

I was scrolling on twitter, as one does, when I came across this piece of artwork reposted by the Daily Athena Cykes account:

Now, I had no particular idea where this piece of artwork came from, but the way Juniper and Robin are posed in this piece of art looks very...interesting to say the least. The fact that it looks like it could be the cover of an Ace Attorney dating sim parody certainly doesn't help

So, I did some digging and apparently it's art from the official Gyakuten Saiban 5 fanbook. From what little I could glean, I guess it's technically supposed to be an "Ace Attorney as a magical girl manga" sort of thing, and it's not actually supposed to be yuri, but my god do I get yuri vibes from this.

Food for thought

You know, we never do figure out just what Robin was going to confess to Juniper had she won the mock trial. Sure, considering the nature of Hugh's confession, it probably was going to be the gender thing.

But it could've been something else; of the not heterosexual nature.

I prayed that the daughter would be pleasant—and homely.  If she had her mother’s beauty, it would be distracting. I needed to focus and return home. At that moment, the younger likeness of Helen Le Clair appeared in the doorway. All thought seemed to halt. I blinked. Damn it all. She was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.
