Upon her murder, Lacie’s soul possessed the robot Bertrum worked on.

In the beginning, Lacie could not moved due to the fact the robot was not finished. This is why Henry wrote the invisible message “it never moves.”

Lacie evaded the Keepers by [quite literally] playing dead, attempting to appear as a broken robot.

Lacie and Bertrum are still friends, she often seeks him out in the Cycle.
