Someone made really good analyses about Wheatley and how he's not actually an idiot. And it's ruined the rest of the fandom for me because the rest of the fandom is the exact opposite of that person. no.... wheatley REALLY is stupid.... did we play the same game?? he was DESIGNED to be stupid. i have ADHD too and being compared to wheatley (who is STUPID) feels like getting called 'acoustic' or 'neurospicy'. wheatley is STUPID. it's OKAY to like him despite that. but he IS stupid. that's like saying "glados isn't mean".

I’m looking forward to the electric dreams remake because I’m pretty sure the gays will show up, but I’m terrified for how they’ll portray Edgar. Deep inside I know they’ll either:
A. Turn Edgar completely evil cause that’s how they tried to say he was back in ‘84 in all the ads and they basically invented a new character that existed only in the ads
or B. Have us root for Edgar, but in a way the justifies the current use of AI to make our art and music.
We could get the good end of “Edgar is still given respect as an artist without demeaning human artists, making it clear the Edgar being stolen from is a big issue without justifying modern ai stuff” but I know Hollywood and I’m scarred of what they’ll do.
Also P.a.i.nter and Edgar should kiss.
