For a quick second I thought that The Invaders of Krypton were based on Ultraman, until I realized that the hero from M78 wouldn't make the scene until four years later.

An eclectic collection of reprinted stories from the various Superman family of comics. Probably my favorites are:

How Jimmy Olsen First Met Superman - in which we learn that, due to a mishap with a time machine, a pre-Daily Planet Jimmy travels to Krypton before it explodes and becomes Kal-El's babysitter. Later, Jimmy returns to Earth with no memory of his adventure, but Superman remembers him and arranges for the youn man to get a job at a great metropolitan newspaper.

And The Super-Monkey From Krypton, where an adult Clark Kent reminisces about Beppo, a monkey from Krypton who stowed away on baby Kal-El's rocketship trip to Earth, and caused all sorts of hi-jinks before flying off into space.

I've already seen how well James Gunn handles Krypto in Superman (2025), as well as the monkeys who had a brief cameo in that film. Now, I challenge him to give us Beppo in the next film!
