There is nothing but silence, the ruins of the Egg Carrier remained undisturbed for many a year. Upon the main area on the outside of it lay two long abandoned machines. One being red the other being black there were signs of battle upon both of them. One being shot many times by small energy shots while a massive hole was in the side of another. These were the remains of E101 Beta and E102 Gamma two robots who fought one another in this spot only to both meet their ends at one another's hands. The red machine however had its single hand placed over the hand of the black machine.

Gamma was a simple machine, powered by a bird like being. Gamma had gone on a mission to save all the birds that lay trapped within each of the E Series in the hope of saving them all. And he had done so always intending to die at the end himself too. They were never meant to exist, their creation had only caused pain to one another.

So, Gamma had accepted his death willing to fade away into nothing along with the brother he had adored yet that love was never returned. Not that it was Beta's fault he simply could never understand. He remained loyal to the end and got nothing for it.

The two robots only had one another in their silence. Holding onto one another as they slowly faded away.

The order was given and Gamma obeyed. He wasn't sure who this was, but his arms were around the bird keeping it in place as the robot made its way towards the cells. It wasn't something unexpected Gamma was a foot soldier he was made to follow orders. To do whatever the Doctor told him to do without any exception.

It was a very loud being, hadn't stopped yelling since it had been brought in. Yet, Gamma knew not what the bird was talking about. Gamma was but a machine, but something inside felt like it wanted to know. It looked upon the captured bird with interest perhaps? Where did that emotion come from? How could the robot feel anything at all? It had been that way since Gamma came into being.

"Do no resist."

The order felt pointless yet still Gamma had to say it. It was expected of him to state such things. However, the green bird was still loudly struggling at every chance it could get. But, Gamma's grip barely shifted at all. Its grip on the bird absolute and unbreakable.

Gamma was trying to adjust to his life alongside Murk. He was out of touch in relation to the world around him given he was simply a husk of metal left to rot away not long ago. Plus, it seemed like the moment Murk moved too far away from Gamma he would shut down which was strange since it felt like time jumped whenever that happened. There was also this desire the robot had of wanting to protect Murk which didn't spark often since no one was threatening him. However, when it did happen the robot would pick up Murk and try to run away to safety. Or until Gamma felt they were safe.

He would always stop if Murk told him to. Gamma was a machine used to following commands, even if he had taken action for himself only once Murk felt like a more worthy master to follow than the Doctor had been. Murk seemed to care for Gamma which was odd but the robot knew that was a good sign much like when the girl was kind to him so long ago. He had to ensure he paid back that kindness.

"Are you...sure?"

Gamma had picked up Murk protectively. He had wanted to go down a dark alleyway and Gamma was uncertain if it was safe. It was almost a childlike response in a way with how this robot acted.

"Are you very sure?"

His manner of speech had also evolved a little to sound a bit more normal wasn't exactly clear why that happened either.

The doctor's orders were absolute, keep the red one under watch while the doctor carried out his work. This was the mission. Gamma didn't have much mind to do anything else so he followed behind the red being with a same color scheme as himself. Because to not do so would be against orders and soldiers followed orders above all.

"Doctor request follow."

He seemed only able to speak in single words and phrases not too much sadly since Gamma was but a simple model of machine. The fact he could talk at all was something special least in robotics.

"Will aid ally."

The doctor called the red one an ally so Gamma used that same word. Only made sense, not like Gamma knew much else.

Darkness...for the longest time...darkness was all he saw...his life a series of images repeating over and over. The Doctor, the girl, his brothers, Beta being reconstructed, Gamma out on his missions. Those were all of Gamma's experiance in his short time living. Nothing spoke to him, but Gamma still reflected upon it all regardless. Was this regret? Why would he feel regret over this?

No! What he did was what he had to do! There was no going back! To regret now would mean it was all for nothing! This was so hard...existing with independant thoughts was so hard for Gamma.

Gamma only knew the voice, the voice of the girl who promised they would meet again someday. But, they never had Gamma had chosen his own end to save the being that lay within himself. A being that was used as a powersource for his very existance. It hadn't been right, nothing should live at the expense of something else. So Gamma made the choice to end the suffering of his brothers as well as free the innocent birds that lay trapped within them all.

It had been Gamma's first choice made for himself by himself. The Doctor had no baring on this choice, the moment Gamma chose to erase his master registration program was the moment he grasped his freedom. He cared only for the family that had been crafted from these mixed parts of robotics. Somewhere within all of them lurked the capacity for a personality. But so long as the E Series remained chained to the Doctor none of them would ever be truly free.

Gamma had to destroy them, in this life they would never find happiness only misery. So, Gamma ended up here in the abyss. His mission complete, his brothers saved, his life was over. So, why did he still linger? What was this sense of self he had right now? Wait, this green...this tube...this felt...no...he was back wasn't he?

Gamma looked around seeing tubes around himself. One to his left and one to his right. One looking like Beta while the other was a metal hedgehog, this felt so akin to when Gamma awoke the first time looking upon the Doctor's face when he was brought to life.

Gamma wasn't much for talking he tended to only be able to say short sentances at best. He hardly expected to be put back together let alone given a second chance at life. When he had his final battle with Beta everything felt like it was over. Gamma's short existance as a small tragic story in a sea of other stories came to its conclusion.

"New member? Requesting information..."

Gamma was expecting to be used as a servant once more. Unlike his first activation this felt more unexpected perhaps? Maybe, they had found his husk tried to repair him only to wake up now. It didn't seem as formal though there was an ego much like with Eggman.

"Gamma served Eggman, but made master registration delete."

Basically saying he deleted it rebelling against the person who created him. He wasn't sure if the bird would understand but Gamma tried since it seemed he was to work for this green bird next. And for some reason birdlike beings made Gamma feel more protective.

"Will protect you, want to protect you is that acceptable?"
