And so he turns to tell him to mind his business and let him finish his thought, he wasn't done talking--only for his mouth to seal into a thin line as he watches Knuckles take a drink directly from the coffee pot.

"Why did you do that." It's a demand, not really a question. The action feels sacrilegious.

Now see.. his actual universes knuckles is easy to manipulate, he saw that time and time again. But this one feels… diffrent. He’s not using his manipulation tactics on this one, and is actually serious about an alliance instead of just.. using him. He could be useful. And the hardheadedness reminds him fondly of the times he was younger and dealing with less rodents.
