My Beloved Monster-Eels
HP FANFIC CHAPTER 11- Bellatrix Lestrange
After talking about their dreams for a while, everyone was to report to their dorms for curfew. Shelby walked back to Hufflepuff dorms. Robyn had agreed to staying the night there, she wanted to see everything first hand.
“Wake me up after you dream.” Robyn said opening up the door to the room.
“You sure?”
“The minute you wake up.” Robyn nodded. Shelby gave a sharp nod and they jumped into bed. Shelby closed her eyes and it only took a few moments before the dream replayed again.
Everyone was in a circle, Riley was on her left, and Tonks on her right. Colin lay in the middle of all of them. A dark figure slowly approached them and everyone cowered away. Shelby on the other hand stayed still. The figure bumped into her. It gasped and dramatically jumped back “You terrible girl! Get away from me!” it yelled and pushed her quickly to ground with so much force her head shook.
“Mr. Creevey.... young Colin.” the figure cackled out an enthusiastic laugh. Colin pushed himself away from the girl, ending up on a gravestone. The girl pulled her hood back. UN expectedly it was Bellatrix. Shelby gasped slightly.
“QUIET TRAITOR!” she screamed turning to Shelby who cowered into Tonks. Tonks held her slightly, she noticed all of the people that had formed a circle, weren't actually Remus, Tonks Sirius, Fred etc. she was surrounded by death eaters. She was being restrained by one. She tried to struggle out but was stabbed in the arm, making her shriek.
“How dare you disobey me? Telling your sister you were simply out. Mr. Creevey... you have disobeyed the code.” Bellatrix smiled her creepy happy smile and lifted her wand.
“Traitors must pay.” She laughed loudly along with the rest of the crowd. Shelby felt a Wand raised to her neck, and looked to her left. Riley was being held by a death eater. A wand Pointed at his chest.
“AVADA KEDAVRA” the three yelled in harmony.
“COLIN!” Shelby screamed. Her eyes shot open. And everyone in the Dorm room woke up together screaming at the same time. Robyn had her arms crossed, looking as if she was holding a figure. All of the others seemed to be crying, or in shock.
“What's going on in here!?” Vincent yelled slamming the door open pointing his wand.
“Accio!” Shelby yelled pointing her wand at Vincent's. His wand flew from his hands into Shelby's as she got up and ran towards him, pushing him against a wall. Her wand pointed at him.
“What was the last thing I said to you?” Shelby growled.
“You can’t be serious?”
“THE LAST THING I SAID-”
“I miss Colin!” Vincent said grabbing his wand and pointing it to the ground. She gave him back his wand and turned to face the rest of her scared dorm mates.
“What happened?” Vincent demanded looking at everyone who looked as if they had seen he-who-must-not-be-named.
“That dream!” they all yelled, suddenly everyone began talking loudly amongst each other, scared and confused.
“QUIET!” Shelby yelled into her wand, using it as a voice enhancer. Everyone was quiet.
“Explain.” She said calmly. Everyone said what they saw; it was all the same things, death eaters in disguise, Bellatrix, Colin, Shelby, and Riley.
“This can’t be happening...” Vincent said.
“I had the same dream too.” he said.
“Go question the others in your dorm Vincent, see if they dreamt of anything along those lines. If so... find Harry Potter.” Robyn spoke up. Vincent nodded and without a second thought opened the door and walked slowly to the Slytherin common room.
“How do you suppose he knew?” Robyn asked as the other girls talked about the dreams.
“Well, if he had the same dream as us, it probably ended at the same time... hence why he would probably come up.” Shelby said.
“None of this makes sense though-”
“I know! Stop telling me. I’m just telling you what I saw.” Shelby snapped. Robyn backed off. Suddenly harry flung the door open everyone jumped, scared.
“I need to talk to you, Robyn. Shelby.” Harry said out of breath. The two nodded and ran out the door, following him. They all ran to the Slytherin common room, using the invisibility cloak to get past lurking professors'.
“Why are we using this... your harry potter?” Robyn whispered.
“But I still follow the rules.” Robyn and Shelby shot him a look. “Okay some.” once they made it to the common room. Draco was in front of everyone, Slytherin members crowded the common room. Harry took the cloak off of all of them and looked to Draco. The two shot each-other a look that needed no words, Harry walked out of the room leaving Shelby and Robyn alone in a room of scary looking kids.
“Draco...”
“Take a seat.” he said his voice was smooth and calm.
“It seems as if everyone has been having these dreams. Weird ones. But repetitive too. Dreams usually have a place in life. A reason why things are happening or a reason why things happen eventually.” Draco spoke smoothly; he hid the fact that he was nervous.
“And all the dreams we've been having are in the same places, with the same people, but different scenarios.” He crossed his arms. “And one person in particular.” he almost sounded like Snape when he spoke now.
“Bellatrix Lestrange.” everyone’s eyes widened and they all looked scared, some were surprised or almost happy looking.
“But isn't she good amongst Slytherin's?” a clueless First year smiled.
“No. never.” Draco snapped. She jumped back slightly; his words were cold when he spoke.
“Bellatrix is alive.”
A minute passed, everyone had their mouths gaping wide. First years had the look of amazement on their face, mouth open wide.
“Liar!” someone yelled. It was Ron. Shelby quickly turned around and glared.
“Students can return to your daily activities in the morning... go to bed...”
“But Shel-”
“NOW.” Shelby snapped at a second year. Everyone slowly got up and walked out, still in shock.
“Draco what the hell are you thinking, their 10 year olds...” Shelby said walking over to him.
“They need to know the truth.” Draco said expressionless.
“As for you!” Shelby growled turning around pointing her wand at Ron.
“Lower your Aww-”
“Hermione shut up.” Shelby yelled. Hermione looked at her with shock. “You may be a part of them, but your nothing to me.” She said staring at her. You could see Hermione's heart sink. She did care about Shelby, and Robyn. Even if it was hard to see.
“Draco comes with me.” Shelby said grabbing, Draco and Vincent's hands. She led them up the stair out of the common room and into the empty hallway. She paced back in fourth for a moment, before Robyn showed up with Riley. She stopped in front of Draco and looked at him. She rose her hand and slapped him, strait across the face.
“Shelby!” Robyn said trying not to laugh. Draco did nothing; his eyes were closed tight for a moment.
“I'm happy your back” she said than jumping into a hug. Everyone just stared at them.
“Insane relationship.....” Vincent mumbled. Shelby pulled back and kissed his cheeks.
“I'm happy you’re... okay.” she said with a slow breath. Robyn grinned, she felt the same way.
“Now.” she said completely pulling herself from him and stepping back towards Vincent.
“What you did was un-called for. You’re not the headmaster Draco. And for all we know you could have worried those kids for nothing.” she said crossing her arms. Draco was in the middle of a half circle... this was all too familiar.
“Are you calling me a liar?”
“Draco stop it! I’m not calling you a liar!” Shelby screamed. “We don't know that she's back! Not even you.”
“But-”
“Everyone needs to go back to bed and get a clearer mind. Than we can talk.” Riley said calmly. Everyone stood still for a moment before going to where they needed to in pairs.
“Catch up to the other students if you can. We don't need wandering people...” Robyn added. Everyone nodded and trotted towards different common rooms and dorms.
“Do you really think what Draco said..? Was the truth?” Robyn whispered to riley as they sat on the couch of the Ravenclaw common room watching first years getting things like teddy bears and cozy blankets to go to bed.
“I don't know... I'm afraid that I can’t trust him.” riley said, his voice sounded sad. Robyn's eyes shut tight when she heard the words “trust” and “Draco” in the same sentence. She could always trust him... right?
“How can you say that?” she asked trying not to seem mad.
“Because he betrayed us again.”
“He was doing what he was told. He was being controlled by his parents, who were being controlled by Voldemort. He was scared.”
“He's a man now, Robyn. You’re supposed to do whatever it takes to protect the ones you love. He didn't.” Riley said getting up.
“goodnight.” he added kissing her head and walking towards a pair of scared girls, he escorted the small duo to their dorms. Robyn settled into the couch and waited. She thought about what riley said. “He only did those things because he was forced.” she said in her mind over and over again.
“Vinny hold on!” Shelby begged as she ran after him. They had finally made it to the Hufflepuff common room; it was on the complete other side of the school from where they were before. Vincent grabbed her hand slowly as they walked up the tower stairs. First years were sitting all around the common room looking scared and talking about Voldemort and Draco.
“Hey... where are the rest?” Vincent crouched down to talk to a small boy who sat on the floor.
“In bed.” he said drinking his water. He nodded and got back up.
“At least they listened...” Vinny said with a grin.
“Okay everyone! Get to bed! You need a goodnight sleep, classes start again tomorrow.” Shelby said to everyone. The two sat on the couch together and watched them all grab their stuff and head off to bed. They waited until they heard all the heavy doors close before talking.
“I’m scared.” Shelby whispered.
“Don’t be...” Vincent said he was too. But it wouldn't do any good admitting it to someone who counted on his “strength.”
“But how can I not? My friends don't trust Draco... and I think I'm beginning not too...” she said leaning onto him. He put his arm around her and sighed.
“I’ve known Malfoy for years. He's never let me down unless he was forced. I will always trust in my best friend...” He began. Shelby looked up at him, interested.
“When we were little, we always went out to play in his mum's garden. She never really liked it because we would always mess something up slightly. But, we were playing in the dirt, looking for something, anything interesting really. But we had our backs turned and didn't see it coming. It was a dementor. We were way too young to know what it was...”
“Wasn’t his mother watching you...? I mean if you were that young?”
“Yes but, she ran inside to get some snacks.” Vincent laughed slightly. Shelby nodded.
“Draco was the first to see it; he grabbed me by my jacket and tried to pull me to get up. But it was already so close by the time we had made it half way back to his house we were caught. He was the first to get “kissed” by it, he screamed and it hurt because I knew I couldn't do anything. He endured all that just because he didn't want me to get hurt. I begged him to move but he wouldn't. Not until his mum or dad came to help us. It seemed like hours before they did. All I remembered after that was seeing Draco in the hospital, his mum wouldn't let me stay with him. I had to go home with her. His father stayed at the hospital with him... despite his mother’s better judgment.”
“Was Lucius mean...? I mean, mean to him and you when you were younger?” Shelby asked looking up at him.
“He wasn't like he was now. He was a better man, even if he was a bit harsh. We knew that all he wanted was a better life for us. Even if I wasn't a pureblood son. That was the biggest shock. He let me live with them, even though I wasn't pure. Narcissa was a wonderful woman. She was always protecting us. Never letting us go too far. She always feared we would become like her sister, Bellatrix...” Vincent stopped talking and looked down at Shelby who seemed sad.
“What happened to them...” she asked grabbing his hand.
“I wonder that... every day.” he said laying his head on hers. Shelby pulled up a blanket onto their laps and relaxed more.
“I don't expect your opinions to change on Draco, Shelby. I just hope you have a bit of faith in his words. He wasn't born a liar.” Vinny said before closing his eyes. Shelby thought for a bit than fell asleep.
Riley had joined Robyn on the couch, they had moved so the two were cuddled under a blanket, on the couch in front of the biggest fireplace. Books were scattered on the coffee table in front of them. Even a sweater, that looked similar to Ron's old “R” sweater. Robyn giggled seeing it.
“Are you mad at Ron?” Riley asked putting his arm around Robyn and pulling her close. Robyn thought before talking.
“Honestly riley, I don't think I’m actually mad at anyone. Not even Connor, I just feel irritable all the time. Everyone and everything annoys me. I’m tired of fighting. I’m tired of worrying. I just want to finish this year and live a happy life...” Robyn said putting her head on his chest.
“I know, I know... don't we all. I’m sorry love. I’m trying-” Robyn pulled her head from his chest and stared at him.
“It’s not your fault riley. What's happening has nothing to do with what you've done. You have fought and fought and I couldn't be prouder of you. I want you to be safe... but you won't stop and listen to Me.” she breathed trying not to cry.
“Listen to you..?” riley said completely confused.
“I've been trying to tell you, since the second the war ended. We need to calm down and get rest. And relax. There's probably going to be more drama in our lives, and there is. You’re stressed out, I know it. But I don't know exactly why. If you would tell me-”
“I can't Robyn...” Riley interrupted. Robyn's mouth opened like she was going to say something but nothing came out. She lay back down hesitantly and tried hard to fall asleep. She was still scared of riley. But not in the way she was before. She trusted him, but she knew something was wrong. Riley laid his head back down on hers and pulled a blanket over her more. The two both fell asleep, worried.

it was like the worst timing for that realization because like right as she finished the over the pants handy i was like "MISS UNGERMEYER!"
