Are these fossils?
I have for years this rocks and I think they are fossils.
The first one is in what looks like a pumice stone. It has those green "hairs" that outstand from the rock and they looked deposited over there and unified when the stone formed. I believe it is a sort of old river algae that got attached in a volcanic rock and became this.
The second one was a debate with my brother and me. We thought it could be a bird or dinosaur egg because of its perfect round shape and pretty spotted core. But we also thought it could be an ancient seed. Like an avocado seed. When I decided to Crack it, the hollow looked like this.
I would appreciate any tumblr expert or knowledgeable in rock fossils to tell me what their opinion are about this rocks!
