It now being June, I can finally talk people’s ears off about surf music and have it at least be seasonally appropriate. I’ll probably be posting about instro surf a lot on this account. Actually, I’ll probably just post dumb sad shit for a week and then delete it. Whatevs.
At any rate, surf music brings me joy immeasurable. It’s the sound of electricity. Of getting really stoked to go hang out with your friends on a Friday night. The sound of new possibilities.
So yeah. Pick up pretty much any surf record and you can’t go wrong. My personal recommendation would be to start with Surf Age Nuggets on Rockbeat Records. But ask the good Lord for guidance and you’ll be steered in the right direction.
