Quartz kept the package tight against her chest, making sure it didn’t slip or fall. She envied the way the crowds of children flowed around her; all of them knew where to go or were following older students. She hadn’t gone to school here, she didn’t know the way, dammit... but she also didn’t want to interrupt them and ask where to go.
Until she saw a familiar face in the crowd. She shuffled through the crowd, getting over to Aryn and greeting her with a breathless, “Hey, Aryn.”
