Rocket Can scored the win in the G3 Holy Bull, earning 2o Derby points and jumping up to the third spot in the current leaderboard. He was 3/4 of a length in front of his longshot stablemate Shadow Dragon to make it a Bill Mott exacta.
This was Rocket Can’s 2nd win from 5 races. His career started with a couple off the board efforts in maiden company at Saratoga before he got his first win at Churchill Downs. He finished his freshman season with a decent second to Confidence Game in an allowance at Churchill Downs.
He’s a son of the reigning champion super sire, Into Mischief and the Tapit mare, Tension. Tension wasn’t much of a runner herself, but she’s a daughter of G1 winner Tough Tiz’s Sis. This makes Rocket Can from the same family as Tiz Midnight and Midnight Memories.
