Last week Virgin Galactic moved its White Knight two to New Mexico from the Mojave. . White Knight Two will fly up to 50,000 feet carrying the rocket 🚀 powered SpaceShipTwo using a twin fuselage configuration. . After reaching the appropriate altitude, the central SpaceShipTwo will detach from the White Knight and will use its rocket engine to reach supersonic speed in less than 8 seconds carrying up to six passengers to outer space. . The key to SpaceShipTwo’s success will rest on its powerful liquid/solid hybrid rocket engine that will produce up to 70,000 pounds-force of thrust using a liquid nitrous oxide oxidizer with solid hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene fuel. .
