So yall know I was messing around with the color mixer. And I was asking my friends on a discord server for other random ships that they wanted me to draw. And one person asked me for VicKing. So I complied;
That little girl right there, her name is Mai. And you wanna know the fun part about her?
Vic doesn’t know that she’s his daughter. And Mango wasn’t ever gonna tell either. As far as Vic knew, Mai’s other parent was M.I.A. Though he took note of how familiar she looked. Just never really caring to study the girl farther.
Now he does eventually learn that she’s his daughter. And it’s kinda wild with some ups and downs and MANY rumors. So much so that word spread that Rocket Corp has a Princess now. Am I made a fun little two part comic for that-
What outsiders think the Rocket Corp princess is like:
VS
What she’s really like:
All in all, I’m very excited and kinda obsessed with this girl. I never expected I’d be creating lore behind one of these random characters I designed, but I think I’m going to expand her story a little lot more. So if anyone’s interested, feel free to stick around lol.
Happy Accidents (RocketPrincess AU)
When a drunken one-night stand leaves Mango with an accidental pregnancy, he has to figure out how to keep his secret safe. Turns out, it's easier said than done when the baby's other parent is literally his boss.
Chapter 14
Victim sighed as they sat at their desk, face buried in their hands. They took a moment to calm themself down. Once the hollowhead could think clearly, they began to reflect on the day.
“I was sure I had it down by now.” They sighed. It’s been a whole month since Vic learned that Mai was his daughter, and they thought they knew everything they needed to care for her properly. The hollowhead began to look back. Remembering the night the truth was revealed to them.
^^^^^^^^^^
“She is my daughter… By the creators, I have a daughter…!” Victim gasped as they held the baby girl tightly. Smith let out a breath of relief as Victim held their daughter.
“Yes, Mai is your daughter.” Smith sighed, plopping down in a chair and rubbing his face tiredly. Victim hummed before a thought came to mind.
“Wait, if Mai is my daughter, then who attacked Mango?” Victim asked, sternly.
“Loan sharks. Apparently, Mango was seriously indebted to them. So they went to “Collect their prize”.” Smith explained, his gaze falling to his folded hands. “They were going to take Mai from him.”
Victim felt their blood begin to boil. How dare those leeches take advantage of Mango? How dare they milk Mango for every last penny he owned? That must have been why Mango was so stressed and trying to earn more money. Hell, it was probably even the reason that Mango came back to work so early into his paternity leave.
“Which one?” Victim growled. Smith glanced up at his boss.
“”Scuse me?”
“Which Loan shark?” Victim demanded, anger seething through his tone.
“It was Shark sir. He and some of his underlings broke into the house and tried to kidnap Mai.” Smith said. Victim scoffed. Of course it was that bastard. Victim had run into him a few times before. He was one hell of an asshole. Victim then began to speak.
“You know what needs to be done.” Victim growled, venom dripping from their voice.
“Yes sir.” Smith nodded, pressing the pin on his lapel.
“Hazzard, do you copy?”
“Yes sir.”
“Did you detain them?’
“Detained and unarmed, Just waiting for the command.”
“Blow their heads off.”
“Of course.” Smith cut the line, leaning forward, resting his elbows on his knees.
“Creators, this isn't how I thought Mai’s first Birthday was going to go.” The agent sighed.
“Well, I guess life has its own cruel humor.” Victim hummed. Mai suddenly began to fuss in Victim’s arms, softly crying and squirming. The hollowhead tenses as the one year old began to get grumpier.
“Um,” Victim’s anger quickly melted into panic as Mai began screaming again. Smith silently stood and held his arms out for Mai. Victim paused for a moment. They honestly didn't want to hand their daughter over, but they didn't know what to do. So they reluctantly handed the wailing child over to the agent, who took the girl into his arms. Agent Smith then began bouncing her and patting her back.
“Shhhh, sshhhhh, You're ok princess. Uncle has you.” He whispered to the child, nuzzling her and calming her down. Mai calmed to a sniffle.
“Papa…” She wept.
“I know, I know you want Papa. But Papa is… Sleeping. You gotta sleep too Princess.” Smith tried to usher the baby to sleep, but she fought him.
“Noooooo Papa!” She cried again. Smith sighed before going to the carseat, grabbing the crocheted blanket and wrapping her up in it. Mai slowly calmed down, she began to close her eyes.
“There you go.” The agent said as he placed her in the car seat. However the second he put her down, she cried again, squirming and freeing her arms from the swaddle and reaching for agent Smith. The CEO and the agent jumped as she burst into tears again.
“Ah, no no it’s ok.” Smith said as he picked her up again. As he held her, Mai quickly calmed down. She leaned into his shoulder, sniffling and whimpering.
“Strange, she was fine being put down before.” Smith hummed.
“It may be the fright from earlier. She must not want to be alone.” Victim observed.
“Mmm, yes that makes sense.” Smith said, patting Mai’s back. Victim watched as the agent hushed and soothed Mai. Victim knew he shouldn't be, but the sight before them made them feel bitter. They were Mai’s other parent. They should be the one comforting their daughter. Jealousy began to fill Victim’s heart when they realized just how much time everyone got to spend with THEIR daughter. It was then Victim decided that they were going to start playing a much bigger role in Mai’s life.
^^^^^^^^^^
Victim sighed as he sat at his desk glancing over to the bedroom door. Mango still hadn’t come out. They wondered if he was napping with Mai, or maybe she didn't want to be put down again. Victim debated whether or not to go in and check up on Mango and their daughter, but decided not to in fear of accidentally waking the sleeping princess, or even waking Mango if he was resting as well.
Victim sighed as they contemplated more. They thought about the day they announced to the company that Mai was their daughter. Oh the mixed emotions from the employees were… Something.
^^^^^^^^^^
The halls seemed to buzz with rumors and gossip as Victim stood with Mai on their hip. They were watching as the movers moved Mango’s belongings into their room. They could hear the whispers, hear their employees daring each other to go talk to them. Curious, yet afraid to ask.
“Sir,” Smith’s voice drew Victim’s attention. “Mango’ and Mai’s things have been set up. It’s ready for them.”
“Good.” Victim said as he adjusted the child on his hip. Mai cooed and squealed.
“Baba! Baba!” Mai squealed, nuzzling Vic’s shoulder. Victim couldn't help but smile.
“Yes, Baba is right here.” They chuckled as they kissed her forehead. The sudden sound of running footsteps caught their attention.
“The hell was that?” Smith muttered.
“Gossipers.” Vic sighed, rolling their eyes. “Oh well. At least they will do my job for me.”
“What do you mean by that?”
“Oh they’ll just tell everyone else that Mai is mine.” Victim chuckled as they ticked the girl, making her squeal with joy.
“Is that really a good idea?” The agent asked.
“Is what a good idea? Those people telling others that I’m Mai’s sire?”
“Yeah. I mean, won’t there be a lot of… controversy?” Victim thought about the agent’s words. They never considered “controversy”. To their knowledge, Mango is a well respected employee at the company.
“I do not believe I follow.” Victim said, adjusting the squirming child on his hip once again.
“Well, some may believe that there may be favoritism. Considering that Mango had moved up the ranks so quickly, and now you have a child with him.” Smith mentioned. Victim hummed as they processed the information.
“Those are good to consider.” Victim mumbled. “However, it will be found out eventually. It would be better to rip off the bandaid now rather than later.”
Within minutes, Victim was swarmed by employees asking various questions. Many asked them if he and Mango were romantically involved and planned to keep Mai’s heritage a secret forever, others asked if Mango baby trapped Victim. Of course, all the wild theories were denied and disproven. But it was almost startling how dark and morbid the workers got considering Victim and Mango’s relationship.
^^^^^^^^^^
Victim paused as he thought about that. Their relationship with Mango. What even was it at this point? They are parents to the same child and that was it right? They were simply working together to take care of their accidental offspring.
But… something caused Vic to sleep with Mango that night, despite how drunk they were. Was it because he was there? Or was it because Victim had been drawn to the technician for his great skill prior to meeting him at the party? Victim thought about the reasons for a while. But they eventually drew a blank. Slowly, their thoughts were drawn to the present. They don’t know why their drunken self felt that way then, but how did their sober self feel about Mango now? Truly, the admiration was still there. Mango is a hard worker, hard workers are always admirable people. Mango is cool. He makes Victim smile and feel comfortable when they speak., and he seems to like that Mai is calm with them as well. It’s just a casual co-parenting relationship. Nothing less, nothing more… Nothing more…
^^^^^^^^^^
Victim watched from the window as Mango sat in the med bay, eating with one hand and holding Mai in the other. The tot had refused to leave her papa, wailing if anyone tried to take her. The CEO couldn’t help but feel bad as they watched Mai begin to fuss and cry, causing Mango to stop eating to tend to her. Victim’s legs suddenly moved on their own, taking them to Mango’s bedside.
“Fussing again?” Victim hummed as they stood next to the bed, hands folded behind their back.
“Yeah. Don’t worry, this is normal.” Mango nonchalantly responded, bouncing the girl while patting her back. Victim hummed as they watched.
“Allow me to take her off your hands for the moment.” Victim suddenly said. Mango chuckled a bit, causing Vic to tilt their head with a bit of shock and confusion. “Did I say something funny?”
“No um,” Mango cleared his throat. “Pivot tried to take her earlier. So I don't think she’ll be all too fond of being taken at all.”
“Well, i am her sire. So i have a higher chance of success.” Victim mentioned. Mango hummed at the statement.
“You have a point. But Mai hasn't interacted with you all that much either.” The bedridden technician mentioned. Victim hummed, nodding their head slightly.
“Though that is true, it does not hurt to try. I am sure you would like to eat your lunch before it gets cold, correct?” Mango mulled over Victim’s words before sighing.
“Alright alright. You can try.” Mango said as he adjusted Mai, making it easier for her sire to pick her up without issue. Victim carefully reached out, gently grabbing the one year old under her arms and lifting her from her carrier’s hold. Mai fussed a bit, but relaxed before too long.
“You are ok princess. Your sire has you now.” Victim said as they held Mai. Mai fussed a bit but eventually relaxed, Mango’s body physically relaxed as he let out a relieved sigh.
“Thank creators.” He breathily chuckled. Victim couldn't help but lightly laugh with Mango.
“See? I told you she would be fine.”
“Maybe I should hand her off to you more often.” Mango snorted, giving Victim an odd look. Whatever that look was, it made Vic’s chest feel tight. Like there was a large cat sitting on it. They could also feel their face begin to feel hot.
“Baba?” Victim looked down at the tot in their arms. She looked back up at them with large curious eyes. Her tiny hands suddenly cupping his face. She smiled and giggled, tapping his flushed cheeks. Victim smiled fondly as Mai nuzzled them.
“Ah, thank you princess.” Victim chuckled. Mai squealed a little more as Vic cooed her.
“You wanna take her for a bit?” Mango suddenly said. Victim paused and looked over at Mango once again.
“Pardon?” Victim asked.
“I'm asking if you want to take her for a bit.” Mango repeated. “I haven't been getting much sleep lately and Mai has refused to be with anyone else… Well, until now I guess.”
“I… I have never… taken care of a child on my own before.” Victim slowly admitted. Mango hummed at Victim’s answer.
“Well that’s not good. You're gonna have to learn how to take care of kids now that you're a dad and all.” Mango hummed. “I could teach you if you’d like.”
Victim could fight the smile on their face as they sat on the bed mear Mango.
“So, where do we begin?”
^^^^^^^^^^
The hollowhead could feel their cheeks getting hot as they remembered those days they got to spend with Mango one on one. They reflected on everything from the day they met mango to now. Victim had never thought that this would ever happen. They didn't think it was possible for them to make a connection with another stick. As the hollowhead thought about everything he felt about Mango, he realized that these feelings also translated over to his right hand man, Smith.
The agent had been working for Victim for as long as they could remember. He always completed his tasks or missions, and sometimes kept Victim company. He also seemed to be able to read Victim’s mind. Able to anticipate what Victim needed or was going to say. It was like Smith had looked into their soul and knew everything about them. That was part of the reason Victim decided to tell Smith about their past. They trusted the agent with their life. And at the time, he was the only one. But now Mango’s in the picture. Victim wondered if Mango would reach the same status as Agent Smith.
As Victim further contemplated their relationships with his head Agent and Head technician, they couldn't help but wonder; “Is this what real friendship was like?” The CEO quickly turned to their monitor, fingers gliding skillfully across the keyboard as they looked up; “How do I know if I am friends with someone?” Victim carefully yet swiftly scanned the page, looking over every bit of information it had to offer to them. The more they read, they began to feel a flutter in their chest. Friendship. They have friends! Not to mention a daughter. The thought of companions made Vic smile. They weren’t going to be as alone as they thought they’d be.
A sudden knock at the door caught Victim’s attention, pulling them from their thoughts. Vic quickly composed themself before calling out to the person on the other side of the door.
“Enter.” They said in their usual monotone voice. The door slowly swung open, revealing the head agent.
“We have returned sir.” He said, approaching the desk. Victim nodded.
“And what do you have to report? Has the Chosen one been captured?” Victim inquired, chin resting on the back of his hands.
“Unfortunately not sir. He got away… again.” Smith growled. Victim sighed as well.
“It seems the hunt is still on then.” Victim sighed as they leaned back in their chai. The search on their monitor then caught their attention. Their eyes flicked over to The agent, who stood searching the room with his eyes.
“Are you looking for Mai?” Victim suddenly asked. Smith seemed to jump as Victim asked. His pale face suddenly turned a shade of red as he turned his head away.
“A bit.” He admitted. “I expected her to be here but she isn't. Did Mango take her back?”
“Yes, he did. She was fussy so Mango took her to nap.” Victim said, referring to the side room. “I do not know if Mango is napping with her, but he has not emerged from the room since taking the little princess.”
“Duly noted. I’ll check on them.” The agent said as he walked toward the door.
“Agent.” Smith paused and turned back to Victim.
“Yes sir?” Victim hesitated as he looked back at the screen. Taking a breath, Victim spoke.
“Would you… Consider us to be friends?” Victim asked, trying to stay casual. Smith arched his brow and walked back to Victim.
“I would.” He says simply. Victim hummed as Smith then stood next to the desk. “Why do you ask?”
“I was just wondering.” Victim said as they quickly closed out of the tab before the agent saw it. “Now, what about me and Mango? Do you think he is my friend?”
“Allow me to answer your question with one of my own. Would you consider Mango to be your friend?” Smith asked. Victim paused as they processed the agent’s question.
“Yes.” Victim said. “I think… I think Mango is a very good friend. He is very welcoming, despite everything I have done to him. Not to mention that he took time out of this day to teach me how to take care of our daughter. It is admirable how kind and forgiving he is. His thoughtfulness makes my soul feel light and warm. That must mean he is a very good friend. I am glad he is my friend.”
Victim looked back up at Smith who simply gave them a blank stare. Victim furrowed his brow as this was an expression he had never seen on Smith’s face before.
“Agent? Are you alright?” Victim said, reaching out to touch him. But he took a step back.
“I’m fine.” Smith said, clearing his throat. “Um, good to know you think Mango is such a good, good friend.”
Victim’s brow furrowed more as Smith turned and swiftly walked over to the side room.
“I’m going to go check on Mango.” Smith said before Vic could speak. Soo, the agent had disappeared into the room. Victim stared at the door for a moment longer before sighing.
“He must be exhausted from the hunt. I will have to give him a break.”

Chapter 1
“What do you mean party?” Mango looked up from the blueprints strewn across his desk. One of the various grey employees was standing in front of him, bouncing excitedly.
“A party! Celebrating the ten year anniversary of the company! Are you going to be there?” The stick asked again. Mango chuckled a bit.
“I dunno Stormi. I’ve only been with the company for a few years. Do I really deserve to be part of something like that?” Mango asked as he looked through his blueprints again.
“Oh come on Mango! Everyone’s going! Even boss man’s gonna be there!” Mango paused as he heard that. Victim was going to be there? That made Mango feel nervous. Victim was the CEO of the company. Everyone he’s met so far has told him that Vic is cold and merciless. Though Mango had never met the man himself, he believed their words. The people he spoke to have worked with the company for years after all. Some even when the company first started. It was only reasonable to listen to them.
“I mean, it’s the ten year anniversary for their company. Why wouldn’t they be there?” Mango chuckled as he wrote a few notes down.
“True. But still! I know you’re not much of a party guy, but at least come for a little bit. Please?” Stormi begged. Mango arched his brow as he watched the stick.
“I guess I could go for formality…” Mango muttered as he put his pen and a blue print down. “I kinda am head of the tech department after all.”
“Yes!!! This is gonna be so fun!!!” Stormi cheered. “See ya then!”
And just like that, she was gone. Mango sighed and shook his head with a smile. Mango would never admit it, but he’d kind of become the workplace father. Of course, he didn’t mind the role. He always got the juiciest bits of gossip and the hottest of teas. But it could get a little distracting when he was trying to do his job. Another knock at the door caught his attention. Looking up, Mango could see Agent Smith standing at the door. Mango quickly stood straighter and prouder. His hand found their perch in his hips as he spoke.
“And to what do I owe the pleasure?” Mango asked with a small smirk. Smith removed his sunglasses, revealing his bright cyan eyes.
“Good afternoon Mr Tango.” The agent said formally. “I came to ask if you can fix my glasses. Ballista decided it would be fun to tamper with them, and now I can’t see the holograms.”
Smith handed the sunglasses towards Mango, who gingerly took them and looked them over. As he studied the sunglasses, he then decided to ask the head Agent about the party as well.
“So, I assume you’re going to be at the 10 year anniversary celebration later this evening?” Mango asked as he looked at the frame of the glasses.
“Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend. I have another very important mission to carry out. Thus why I need my glasses repaired immediately.”
“Ah. Shame.” Mango said as he looked back up. “Do you mind if I put the glasses on? It will help me figure out the problem.”
“Whatever you need to do.” Mango placed the glasses on and Smith activated the hologram connected to his arm. True to form, Mango could not see the hologram clearly. It was merely a blue fuzz. Mango hummed and tapped the glasses, opening settings, playing with the sensors and trying to get them to work better.
“What did Ballista even do to these things?”
“They took my glasses while I was in the shower. And they did… something. According to Hazzard, Ballisa started “bouncing off the walls” before the glasses flew off and hit the wall.” Smith explained.
“Hit the wall?” Mango took the glasses off and sat in his chair. Mango grabbed a magnifying glass and held it above the corner of the glasses. Sure enough, the sensors were cracked. Mango hummed as he put the magnifying glass down.
“The sensor’s lens is cracked. Those will need to be replaced.” Mango said as he handed the glasses back to Smith. “You’ll have to take those to Asher. They’re better at that kind of precision work.”
“Ah, thank you Mr Tango.” Smith said. As they turned to leave, Mango spoke up.
“It’s Mango.” Smith paused and half turned back to the technician. “No need for Mr Tango, remember? Just call me Mango, please.”
“Ah, yes. Pardon my mistake. See you around, Mango.” And with that, Smith was gone. Mango hummed as he watched the agent leave. He sure was an interesting specimen.
**********
Mango stood against the wall, cup in hand as he watched the party go. It was less wild than he thought it’d be. But it was still loud and there was LOTS of drinking. Hell, even Mango decided to drink a bit. Just to keep him from leaving too early.
“Mr Tango.” The tall stick’s head lazily turned to his left. A much shorter stick stood next to him. Though Mango was slightly drunk, he noticed the stick standing next to him to be the one and only CEO of Rocket Corp, Mango was nearly shocked sober as he recognized the man.
“U-uh. Yes sir?” Mango kicked himself for stuttering. Let alone being nervous. He needed to calm down. The hollowhead eyed the much taller stick slightly before letting off a small smirk.
“It is nice to meet you sir. I have been looking for an opportunity to speak to you in person but as this company’s CEO, I have been quite busy and held up.” Victim said with their hand extended. Mango looks at the hollowhead’s hand before clearing his throat and discreetly wiping the sweat from his hand.
“It’s nice to meet you too sir.” Mango said as he shook the CEO’s hand. Vic nodded once as they leaned against the wall with Mango.
“You have been on my radar for some time now. I hear you have been moving up the ranks at a rapid pace.” Victim said as they took a sip of their drink.
“Ah, not really sir. I just-“
“You started as an intern and quickly became head of your department in three years. That is nothing to sneeze at. You are an interesting specimen Mr Tango.” Victim said. Mango chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck.
“Please, just call me Mango. No need for the formalities. It makes me feel old.” Mango chuckled as he placed his cup on the table nearby. Victim hummed as they did the same.
“No one has ever asked that of me. Yes, I think I will do that. Thank you Mr Mango.” Victim chuckled.
“Ah, yeah.” Mango chuckled as he watched the hollowhead. Maybe it was because Mango was a little more than tipsy, but he wasn’t as nervous anymore. The CEO wasn’t nearly as terrifying as everyone had made them out to be.
“Well, I must go now. It was very nice meeting you Mr Mango. I hope to meet you on more occasions.” Vic said as they grabbed a cup and began walking away. Mango chuckled as he grabbed his cup and took a sip. But he stopped when his taste buds were showered with a sweet carbonated taste. Mango paused and looked at the cup.
“Cider? I didn’t realize there was some.” Mango mumbled as he looked at the now empty table. Wait, if that was cider, then where was his cup of beer? Realization set in.
“Crap.” Mango sighed as he went to look for his boss. He then heard a shout from nearby. Following the sound, he found a small crowd of confused and almost horrified workers. Being much taller than nearly everyone there, Mango was able to see into the middle. The boss was standing on a table cheering about how they’re proud of everyone for working so hard for the last ten years. It was a strange sight for everyone there to see. Their normally reserved and stoic boss was acting so friendly and extroverted it made them feel uncomfortable.
“Where’s their right hand man?”
“We need Agent Smith!”
“He went on a mission! He’s not here!”
“What do we do?!”
“Who gave the boss alcohol?!”
Mango facepalmed. Of course this had to happen. Well, Mango was responsible for that mess, so he may as well take care of it.
“Uh, ‘scuse me guys.” Mango said as he walked towards the middle of the crowd. The employees created a path for the much taller man. Mango got to the middle and placed a hand on Vic’s shoulder.
“Boss-“
“Ah! Mango my man!” Vic hopped off the table and hooked an arm around Mango’s neck, pulling the taller stick down to their level. “You, you are the most interesting! I like you! You work hard and you move faster than everyone here! Yes yes, you are… What do the youngsters call it? You slay!” There was a collective groan from the younger ones in the crowd. Mango sighed and swept the shorter hollow head into his arms. Vic gasped as he did. Once they realized their predicament, they chuckled.
“Ha. Look at you, you’re bold Mango.” Mango shook his head.
“Creators-sorry everyone! They took my cup by mistake! I'll take them to their room.” Mango announced to the crowd, and with that, Mango left the room, princess carrying the drunken CEO the entire way.
“Heh, you really are bold Mango. Look at you. So fine lookin’ and, and crazy.” Victim giggled as they leaned into Mango’s shoulders. Mango couldn’t help but blush a bit.
“Sir please-“
“Ah. Don’t call me that.” Vic huffed as they traced Mango’s chin with their finger. Mango flinched slightly at the touch, but shook it off nonetheless. Vic chuckled and kissed Mango’s neck, causing the taller stick to nearly drop his boss.
“S-sir!”
“You were always my favorite Mango~” The boss purred. “You’re so cool. Covered in soot and sweat when you work. Like you are a character from one of those Japanese cartoons.”
Mango was flustered. Was this really what his boss thought of him? Mango ignored the drunk hollowhead’s flirty demeanor and the kisses on his neck. That was easy. Ignoring the tightness of his pants however, was not. Soon, Mango reached the boss’ personal quarters. He sighed in relief as the door automatically opened for him.
“Oooo~ who’s room is this~? Is it yours~?” Victim purred as they continued to leave bites and hickeys on the left side of Mango’s neck. Mango kept quiet as he approached the bed. Mango sighed as he laid the hollowhead down.
“Alright, you shou-ACK!” Mango yelped as the hollowhead suddenly grabbed him. The next thing Mango knew, Victim was sitting on his waist and pinning Mango’s wrists on either side of his head. Mango stuttered as Vic looked down at him with hungry and foggy eyes.
“You are one of the most interesting employees to ever step foot in this company. Maybe I should reward you for that~” Victim whispered as they leaned down and kissed Mango. The taller stick was too stunned to do much. The alcohol fogged his common sense and his heart was thumping in his chest. Mango knew this was wrong, making out with his boss. But he couldn’t help it.
Mango needed more.
**********
When Mango awoke the next morning, his whole body felt sore and his brain felt very heavy. It took the orange stick all his energy to just sit up. What time was it? Where was he? What ha-
Mango heard someone groan and shift in the bed next to him. Looking over, Mango’s eyes widened in horror as he saw the familiar grey hollowhead. Mango then looked around the room. Both the men’s clothes were haphazardly tossed around the room. Looking at himself, Mango was completely nude. And so was his boss. Memories of last night then flooded Mango’s brain. His horror and anxiety spiked as he remembered every last thing.
“Oh shit Mango you fucked up!” Mango said as he carefully hopped out of the bed. Mango grabbed his clothes and put them on as quietly as he possibly could, pausing every time his boss shifted or groaned. Once Mango had his clothes on, he made his escape. Carefully, to make sure he didn’t get caught exiting the boss’ room. The last thing he needed were people starting rumors about him and the boss.
That’d be hell.

Considering everything that’s happened today, I don’t know how any of this will affect “Happy Accidents”. Maybe I’ll reference it, maybe I’ll make it important, maybe it never happened at all. I have no clue lmao

Chapter 4
It had been a few days since Mango’d been to work. Today was his first day back. He was kinda nervous. But he’d been taking the medication. He should be normal enough to get through the day without being suspicious.
Mango stepped into the building casually. He walked to his office with no issues whatsoever. It seemed Clay kept her promise. Good. The last thing he needed was-
“CONGRATULATIONS!!!!” Mango yelped as he fell backwards on his butt. He winced before looking up. His office was full of both familiar and unfamiliar faces; some belonged to his underlings, others were the mercenaries, and some were the medical staff. Mango stared at them all with wide and confused eyes.
“Wh-what-“ Smith stepped forward and offered Mango a hand. Mango took his hand and was hoisted up. “I-I-I don’t-“
“You’re pregnant Mango! This is something that needs to be celebrated!!!” A nurse said as she pulled Mango into the room.
“Coral!” Smith followed the pair into the room. Upon entry, everyone swarmed Mango with “congratulations” and “we’re so happy for you!” Mango gripped the strap of his bag, trying to keep his breath steady.
“P-pregnant? N-no y-you’re mis-“
“It’s no mistake! We saw it!” Another nurse said, stepping forward excitedly. She gripped Mango’s hands and excitedly hugged him. “This is so exciting! No one in a high-up position has ever been pregnant before!”
“Wh-where did you hear I was pregnant? I-I’m not!” Mango said, trying to keep his calm.
“We saw it! In the report! You’re pregnant!” Mango buried his face in his hands. No one was supposed to know he was pregnant till he felt more comfortable about it. Well, there go all the plans he had.
“Coral, Venus. Stop harassing the man.” Smith said sternly. Primal then grabbed the two nurses by the back of their shirts.
“I think you two need to leave.” She said before tossing the two out.
“I believe all of you must leave now.” Hazard said sternly.
“And if ya don’t.” Ballista turned their face into a gun. “We start blastin’.”
The room was immediately cleared out within minutes. Mango stood in the middle of the room hugging himself as the gang of highly skilled mercenaries exited. Well, except for Smith. He ,instead, approached Mango.
“Hey. You ok Mango?” The head agent asked, placing a gentle, yet caring, hand on his shoulder. Mango tensed and sniffled a bit.
“Y-ya know… I really didn’t want anyone to know yet…” Mango admitted. “I-I’m still… still trying to process it all myself… I, I guess the whole company knows now huh?”
“Unfortunately. News like this spreads like wildfire. You and I both know this.” Smith said softly. Mango sniffled and wiped away a stray tear.
“Stupid hormones.” Mango sniffled as he pulled away from the agent. Smith’s hand hovered in place before slowly, hesitantly, lowering.
“Do you want to go-“
“No!” Mango snapped, turning back to the agent. “No. I’m not going back home! I’ve already been gone for three days! That’s three days too long!”
As Mango rambled, he took off his bag and started pulling out the blueprints and papers. Smith stood and watched as Mango threw himself into his work. It was impressive how fast Mango was able to shake off the initial shock, but it still worried Smith. He approached the slightly shorter stick, his hands placing themselves on Mango’s shoulders once again.
“Mango!” Mango looked up at Smith with glossy eyes. Smith’s eyes softened as he saw the stress and fear in his friend’s eyes. With a sigh, the head agent stepped around the desk and pulled the distressed technician into his embrace. Mango stiffened before relaxing and embracing the pseudo hollow as well. Mango trembled in his embrace, terrified and stressed.
“I-I didn’t want this! I-I-I just-I wanted to keep it quiet! I didn’t need the whole company knowing that I was pregnant!!! It’s embarrassing!!!” Mango sobbed. Smith held his friend tightly. The stick was clearly in a lot of distress. He figures it must’ve taken a lot of courage for the expecting stick to even get in the car to get to work this morning. Smith stood silent, rubbing Mango’s back and holding him tight. After a few more moments of this, Mango suddenly pulled away.
“I-I’m sorry. I-I didn’t mean to do that.” Mango sniffled, wiping his tears.
“Hey hey, it’s ok Mango. I’m your friend.” Smith chuckled as he approached the technician once more. “I’m gonna be here for you no matter what you know.”
“Really?” Mango sniffled, turning to face the other stick. Smith smiled and nodded.
“Promise it. And I don’t break my promises.” Smith said, taking his sunglasses off. Mango sniffled and smiled a bit.
“Yeah… Th-thanks… Pivot.” Mango said, looking away.
“Oh Ho Ho.” Pivot leaned into Mango a bit. “Using my first name without a threat? That’s a first. Am I gonna be hearing that more?”
“Shut up.” Mango softly chuckled as he stepped away from the agent. “I have work to do. Get outta here.”
“Alright alright I’m going.” Pivot chuckled as he walked out. Just before the agent left the technician’s office, he paused and looked back over his shoulder. Watching Mango work for a moment.
“If anyone starts harassing you,” Mango looked up, watching as Smith spoke. “Call me and I’ll come running.”
“Oh my creators you’re such a nerd.” Mango playfully scoffed. Pivot simply chuckled before placing his glasses on his face and exiting the office.
*********
Everywhere Mango went for the next few days, he felt like there were eyes on him. Everyone was staring at him, whispering about him.
“He banged the boss.”
“He’s pregnant with the boss’ child.”
“What a slut.”
“No wonder he rose through the ranks so fast.”
Mango tried to keep his cool. Acting like he heard nothing. Like he wasn’t pregnant and nobody had anything to say. But his knees shook with every step, threatening to buckle as he put his weight on each leg.
“M-Mr Tango!” The sound of the voice jolted Mango from his thoughts. The stick whirled around to face a younger looking stick.
“I heard that you were expecting! Is this true?!” They excitedly asked. Mango stiffened for a sec before relaxing. Or, doing his best to look relaxed.
“I’m not expecting. Whatever you’re hearing from others is a lie.” Mango stated. He walked by the stick, but they followed him.
“You know, it’s nothing to be ashamed of if you are pregnant. It’s just, every employee who got pregnant working with Rocket Corp quit their jobs! You’ve been head technician for only a few months now. Are you really going to give such a title up for a baby?” Mango paused and turned to the stick.
“Look kid. I’m not going to give up my position for anything. This is the best paying job I’ve ever had and I refuse to lose it. Something like pregnancy won’t make me quit.” Mango said sternly. The stick smirked as Mango finished his statement. That confused Mango greatly.
“What? What are you smirking about?” Mango demanded. The stick chuckled and hummed.
“Oh nothing. But you totally just admitted that you were pregnant.” They teased. Mango’s face dropped in horror as he thought about what he said.
“I-I didn’t say I was pregnant! You’re putting words in my mouth!” The stick laughed as they poked Mango. Mango smacked their hand away with irritation.
“Stop it.” Mango growled.
“You totally are pregnant. According to everyone here, you’re normally so calm and patient and like a dad. But here you are. Snippy and short fused. Plus, the face you made when I said you told on yourself was all the confirmation I needed.” The stick smirked. Mango was close to truly snapping when a hand was suddenly placed on the stick’s shoulder. The stick turned around, their smirk quickly falling as they saw who it was.
It was Victim. And they were PISSED.
“Excuse me intern. I would appreciate it if you DID NOT harass my head technician.” Victim said with a very irritated smile.
“O-oh! M-Mx Victim! I was-“
“I do not care what you were doing. Now if you excuse us, we have a meeting to attend.” Victim said as they tightly gripped the intern’s shoulder. The intern winced before Victim released them and walked by.
“Come Mr Mango.” Vic simply said. Mango glanced back at the snooty intern before following his boss. If Mango was being honest, he didn’t want to follow Vic around. It made his stomach churn. He felt lightheaded and clammy; gross.
“I will have to fire that intern. I will not stand such toxic behavior in my workplace.” Victim scoffed as they readjusted their tie. Mango just awkwardly shifted behind the boss. He really was starting to feel sick now.
“Mr Mango.” Mango’s breath was caught in his throat as he nearly bumped into the hollow head.
“Y-yes sir?”
“Are you alright? You seem to be much more unfocused than you normally are.” Vic said as they pressed the button on an elevator. Mango gulped and rubbed his arm.
“I-it’s nothing. Rumors are rumors after all.” Mango said as the two entered the elevator.
“That is but a fact. Rumors are not to be believed unless the person the rumor is about steps up to say something. Their word makes it final.” Vic hummed as they pressed a button, the door closed and the elevator began to rise. Mango sighed and rubbed his face. If he was going to see this through, his boss should at least know.
“Well… the rumor is true…” Mango muttered. Vic glanced up at the head technician with their eyes, studying Mango’s face and body language. They hummed and nodded.
“Ah. So it is true then.”
“Well, no one was really supposed to know. But I guess we have some nosey nurses on our hands.”
“Hm. I will have to fire them.”
“What?! You don’t-“
“Sharing a patient’s information without consent is illegal, you know. And if they are so quick to share something as simple as a positive pregnancy, who knows what else they will share about our company if they were to get their hands on such information.” Mango hummed as he thought about it. From what he was aware of, that was quite true.
“So, do you think there’s something you can do about the rumors?” Mango nervously asked.
“Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do. Rumors abide by no rules. No matter how hard you try to enforce them.” Victim said apologetically. Mango simply hummed in acknowledgement, unsure of what else to say. Unfortunately, Victim didn’t have anything more to say either. Causing the elevator to become uncomfortably quiet. The silence continued to make Mango queasy. Mango inhaled softly and wiped his lip. This anxiety was going to kill him. He needed to say something! But what was it that he could say without sounding weird?
As Mango cycled through things he could talk about in his head, the only options that showed were remembering that night or telling him the baby is his. Mango gagged on his anxiety. He leaned on the back wall to try and keep himself upright. Vic noticed the motion and half turned to the technician.
“Are you alright Mr Mango? Is the elevator making you feel sick?”
“A-a bit.” Mango groaned. “M-motion sickness.”
Vic was about to speak when the elevator stopped and the door opened. Mango immediately dashed out the door and to the nearest bathroom. If he was going to blow chunks, he wasn’t going to do it in the hallway for everyone and anyone to see.
Mango made it to the toilet just in time. He coughed and choked on the anxiety. His head spun as his heart raced. This stress was not good for Mango whatsoever. Once he was done, the orange stick exited the bathroom; only to see Victim standing there.
“Are you well Mr Mango?” Victim quietly asked. Mango glanced up and down the hall, checking to see if anyone was approaching.
“Just, normal symptoms. Nothing I can’t handle.” Mango said, looking away from the hollowhead.
“Hm. If this does continue to be an issue for you, I could send you on paternity leave.” Victim says.
“Well, that is something I needed to ask you about.” Mango said as he and the boss continued their way to the board room. “Since I’m the head of technology, I was hoping to be let on paternity leave before the pregnancy starts showing.”
“To keep your secret?”
“More or less for safety. I mean, I don’t think working around explosives and chemicals while pregnant is very safe.” Vic hummed and nodded in consideration.
“Yes. That sounds about right.” Vic says as the pair stepped up to the board room. “We shall continue this conversation later. Right now, we must meet with the other members.”
