Lacy considers donating

I always wonder which characters might have momentarily crossed Rocky's path before he joined Lackadaisy, which put this little pre-story idea in my head.

I only had a vague notion of what I wanted to do here and probably got way too experimental with it by the end, but I'm mostly satisfied ^^;;;

Glad to hear you liked my art and animatic, thanks so much ^^ I haven't done anything for them recently since I'm waiting for new material (I need to see animated Lacy!!) but might have a new piece ready soon, schedule and inspiration permitting.

I really want to draw more fanart for the series, but I'm not at all used to the more western-leaning cartoon style, and my attempts to mimic it have been frustrating more often than not...

But fanart is supposed to be fun, and if mimicking another style is holding me back from fun, then why not do it another way??

So with that in mind, I tried drawing Rocky and Lacy in a more anime-esque style per what I'm used to. I'm still not fully satisfied (Rocky's fur tufts really throw me off!!) but it's better than a blank canvas I suppose ^^;;;

I know it's supposed to be "in 5 minutes", but if you're interested in some rambling thoughts on a few most of these items, see below the cut!

Height I couldn't find an exact height for Lacy, but going off Tracy's old flat art lineup it looked like she must be somewhere between Mitzi and Rocky... taking heels into account, I went with 5'4".

Horny I see Rocky as someone who doesn't actively think about sex all that often outside of the affection it would provide - but, he'd still be happy to participate if it came up? Like he's having a good time if they are, you know? And Lacy, well... I think Lacy could use the stress relief.

Awkwardness Lacy is pretty witty in Normal Situations, but maybe a little less so when caught up in Rocky Situations. Rocky meanwhile is Rocky.

Jealousy I see Lacy as the calm and ready Don't Touch My Man kind of jealous. Rocky, as we know, is the manic Oh God How Do I Compete With That Guy kind of jealous.

Spoons Sure Rocky jumps into being the Big Spoon at first, but I do think he'd quietly enjoy being the Little Spoon more? Like, the feeling of having someone cling to him for a change... so after settling into the relationship, Lacy would take up the Big Spoon role more often.

Clothes Rocky 'borrows' Lacy's scarves a lot. Not to wear (usually) but just to have on hand, kept close in his breast pocket or boldly tied to his car mirror. Lacy has accepted Rocky's dirty wet threadbare singed jacket on a cold night and that's as much of his wardrobe as she can take.

Pet Names Rocky will effortlessly call Lacy all kinds of pet names - enough to string into a song, even! But he usually defaults to 'Lace' in casual conversation. Lacy just calls Rocky by his nickname like everyone else... except for the handful of times she's called him Roark, which was decidedly too intimate for either of them without proper emotional preparation.

Affection While Rocky would do or say just about anything in equal degrees for love, Lacy isn't much for waxing poetic and prefers to express her feelings through more tangible means... but she's not above stating the obvious if physical acts don't get the message across.

Confessing I wouldn't say Rocky would be waiting for a confession... more like hoping? Yearning? But no matter how blatant the flirting got, I just don't think he'd really believe Lacy liked him unless she said it outright. And heaven forbid he scares her off by confessing first, ruining it just like everything else—

Driving Rock drives, technically. But he's far cry from reliable behind the wheel. Lacy hasn't learnt to drive but would be fairly good at it if she did.

Cooking Lacy isn't wild about cooking but has a few staple meals she can put together well. Rocky can make pancakes, but at what cost!?

Relationship Experience When I think of Lacy in her school years, I can't help picturing her as a rather straight-laced student. Maybe even a bit Intimidating to the boys around her. Not looking to party or steal hearts, I think her time as a student would have passed without having gained much dating experience at all. And after graduating, dating drifts even farther from mind - her career's just getting started! If she starts dating now then it'll lead to talks of marriage and quitting and having a bunch of babies and— Rocky wouldn't push for any of that.

Speaking of Rocky... while he canonically Has No Game, it's also been stated that he's had encounters of 'various sorts' in the past - which leads me to believe he's at least fooled around a bit, if not had Very Quick and Unsatisfying Sex at some point in time. So by some bizarre twist of fate Rocky has the slightest bit more experience than Lacy, but... well, it's a combined effort really.

Took me a while to find just the right Vibes, but I’ve put together a little assortment for my Rocky x Lacy ship!

As you might be able to tell from listening, I don’t necessarily expect the pair to end well if we’re following the general canon of things… but my playlists are ever-changing, so you never know ^^;;

Hello, how are you? I ask this question because even though it seems silly, you will continue doing lacy+Rocky stories.

So happy to see there are fellow Lacy x Rocky fans out there! I don’t think I’d be able to write full stories for them (I’m too weary from my day job lol) but I definetly have lots of ideas for storylines, headcanons and the like! I’d like to find a way to post about them more often…

If nothing else, I should draw more art for them!! Or maybe make another animatic! I’d have to find some good audio for it first though so we’ll see ^^;;
