rocket y rocket // xander & vinny
It had taken two days. After exhausting his resources Xander had been forced to resort to more old-fashioned methods to track down his old teammate, which had been rather annoying and had put the thief into a rather grumpy mood.
The target of his search, Vinny, had seemingly disappeared without a trace after his termination from Team Rocket. Despite the pink-haired boy's vulgarity and complete disrespect for his superiors (only part of the reason he had been terminated), Xander had taken it upon himself to check in on the boy, despite his own revulsion toward him.
In a lot of ways the blonde could see himself reflected in Vinny like a mirror, and it was this reason that he found that he felt, among other less-appealing emotions, a sense of responsibility for him.
Finally he had come across a promising lead that he was convinced would finally allow his search to end. The notion was confirmed once he turned a corner into a darkened alley and spotted his target, so intent on the masterpiece he was spraying onto the cracked brick wall that he didn't seem to notice the intrusion.
"You were pretty hard to track down, Vinny," he announced his presence to the ex-grunt as graciously as ever. "I mean, for a punk with pink hair ya keep a pretty low profile."
It would have been impressive if Xander didn't suspect that it was all completely unintentional on Vinny's behalf. If they had been in Goldenrod it would have taken Xander a mere matter of hours to find him. Of course, they were in Celadon, an less-familiar city in an unfamiliar region, where he had been forced to employ all of his skills to find just one person.
"Arceus," he sighed, taking note of the younger boy's condition, which put lightly, seemed a bit worse-for-wear. "When was the last time you had somethin' to eat?"
