also im reading the latty fic and its super cute, v lovely, HOWEVER i could swear that sometime in CYE, like around the end, natty had been eaten out by one of the alphas already… REVISIONIST HISTORY

no but fr maybe im remembering wrong (doubt it cuz ive read CYE a billion times) or maybe that chapter was set ages after nats heat ended (i think this is the actual scenario… in which case im dummy)

Mann the timeline is a bit fuzzy with the snippets and probably not the most realistic, so there could definitely be some inconsistencies by now :'O

I placed it sometime after Nat's heat and before the ending of CYE, since there's a super vague, unspecified time skip there. I don't know if there would've realistically been a good time for them to actually go for this trip at that point (and if their relationship would've been as developed by then as it is in the snippet??) but oh well!

Reckon it messes the timeline?🤔 I'll need to reread the ending of CYE to check and see if I made an oopsie somewhere eek! Could very well be that the time skip there isn't even enough for this snippet to have happened lmao, so uhhh Latty AU?? hahahah!

But honestly, I'm sure there is/will be some inconsistencies with the amount of chapters in the series by now, and I'm happy to have them pointed out!! I'll do my best to fix things if I just can<3

still thinking about that one scene from tangled but with basta so here we go. a little scenario and soundtrack, as a treat…

it’s late now, but the night is still warm, carrying a breeze redolent of woodsmoke and cloves. basta holds an oil lantern, which offers dim light over the winding dirt track ahead of you.

your face is warm and the soles of your feet are sore, but your heart has never felt lighter. it buzzes in your chest, drunk off the local town’s infectious merrymaking.

“the festival? it’s an annual thing,” the old innkeeper had said when you asked about the bustling crowds. “but a shame if you came all this way and missed it!”

and so you came, you saw, but alas, you were conquered.

even basta looks relaxed. he’d been somewhat disinclined at first — “i have no interest in mixing with these heathens,” he’d said, to be precise — but all the same, he showed up beside you at some point during the night, and stayed there for the rest of it.

and even though the lantern light is starting to dwindle, you can’t help but notice that he’s whistling to the tune of the song you danced to earlier. you wonder if he’s noticed himself.

I drew this a while ago and realized I didn't post it to Tumblr as I should have. Soukoku because I asked some people on Discord if I should do this and they all said yes. It took a long time and I'd rather not color it so just have this and go. Also the reference that I used to make this, I don't know where it came from I got it of Pinterest so feel free to leave that in the notes if you do find out.
