I've had this idea mulling around for a while, I decided today was the day for it.

Stuck inside for the day because the boyfriend is sick, so I grabbed these and started cutting.

Folded back the edges to make a seam.

Next was trying to figure out what to make to fill the space.

I tried a few different things, before thinking of the Shawl of Lost Souls I've been working on. I had to backwards engineer the pattern as I wanted to make it from top down.

Then I sewed it on to the pants, and done!!

Ok, not that simple. I started around 10am and it's now 5:30 pm. Totally more time consuming than I expected, but I think I'll be faster if I do this on more clothes. :)

I'm thinking of learning some simple embroidery to put on the pockets/ along the top, but that can await another day.

4 easy looks with a white skirt (you will be able recreate)

If you check out most of the stores white jeans or white skirts feature heavily in their summer line up. I think the best way to wear a white jeans or skirt is let it act as a basic e.g. like a blue jean.  That way you can mix/match any colour, any pattern etc.

The skirt featured in today’s blog is Rockmans K/L Denim Go to Denim Skirt (I’m size 16).

I’m accident prone so I will probably drop something on my skirt by the end of a summer’s day so I will keep my Napisan on standby!

Sports Luxe

(Truth be told, there’s nothing sporty about me) Throw on a concert or a sport tee and white skirt with white sneakers (the bun is optional).  I own a couple of concert tees and Robbie is one of them.

If you’re still undecided about the white sneakers, you can pick up a pair of white canvas sneakers at Big W or Kmart for under $20 dollars.

As I said to my friend the other day navy is the softer sister to the colour black (lol).  I know sometimes a client can put black on and look washed out, so next time why not try Navy!
