i know fic is fic is fic as no author has any kind of obligation for hobby projects when we've all got a lot of life going on (and holy hell have i had a lot of life going on), but i am genuinely sorry for how little activity my ongoing work has seen. I had to do a lot of resting and a lot of fiddling around, and i wasn't willing to force projects when i already felt my creative juice was gone. needed to wander a bit, needed to play in original and unstructured and unshared work for a bit.
with that said, the rod au is definitely not abandoned, just back-burnered. my original """plan""" was to only ever have one Really Major WIP at a time, but im realizing that there's no real reason to be strapping blinders on myself when i could be exploring things side-by-side. and honestly for whatever reason the derby au has been burning up my gray matter totally out of nowhere? so ive actually been hoping to pick up both projects again, and just let them go where they take me when they take me.
trying to take a more relaxed approach to art and find the fun & the joy in making things for their own sake, u kno? and ive gotten a lot better at making time for it despite everything else.
anyway anyway anyway. for all i know, either the next ROD AU update or possibly the first chapter of the derby AU is next on the horizon. we'll find out together i guess :')
