Samus Aran and Pyonchi from Metroid featuring: Old Bird, Gray Voice, Virginia Aran, and Rodney Aran

At only 3 years old, a young Samus discovers what her destiny is. I just thought it was kinda funny and cute that Samus has been adopting stray creatures since the beginning

Not that anybody asked, but I think Die In a Fire by The Living Tombstone fits perfectly as a song for Samus Aran- Like, it goes without saying who she’s talking about.

Especially since the manga alludes to Ridley lowkey having trauma from being burned alive in the explosion of his mothership; So it’d basically be Samus spitefully telling him to go relive his trauma from the same day that forever changed her life, just as she always does everytime Ridley appears.

It’s particularly ironic given how he’s a fire-breathing dragon who regularly rooms in Norfair- Is it an irony that frustrates and wounds Ridley’s ego, a fear he insistently tries to get over out of spite, refusing to let a lowly human like Rodney have the last laugh even in death?

Especially since Ridley is the ‘Cunning God of Death’, and had already devoured Rodney’s body himself- He wouldn’t dare let this pathetic human’s ghost haunt him! Ironic, given how Ridley goes out of his way to mock Samus about Rodney lowkey living on in his own body- Ridley’s life was both threatened and saved by him in a sense, so does Ridley get the sense that Rodney haunts his very flesh?
