i think it was 11th grade? so four years ago wow
anywho! the pics are captioned, and i’m also gonna put more stuff abt em under the cut, including more pics uvu (though tumblr probably won’t let them look nice \shakes fist @ tumblr)
About Roe Tae:
Sole child of the blacksmith, she’s dreamed of being part of a crystal caravan for as long as she can remember, even with all the dangers that come with it. She’s studied maps and strategies and trained basically for this moment. So when she’s among the eight picked for a new caravan, she is absolutely overjoyed and instantly proclaims herself the leader. Nobody else really listens to her on that. After a while though, they do actually come to recognize her as a leader, but that is only after much growth on her part and everyone else’s.
About Zef Det:
Son of the town’s tailor, he has one older brother that constantly picks on him. He’s taken up pulling pranks on him as a sort of revenge, but it started to become part of his personality as he began doing the same to other people. He doesn’t take things very seriously and jokes around all the time, making others frustrated to be around him. When he’s called on to be part of the caravan, several of the others in said caravan make it plain they don’t want him around. He and Cari Na constantly bicker. But as time goes on, he mellows out and learns to actually be himself around them, and they, in turn, learn to accept him as he really is.
About Daal Yi:
Nobody in town really knows who he is, though Zachali has his suspicions. He showed up out of nowhere five years before the caravan started, and ended up being an apprentice of sorts for the town’s miller. He constantly acts like he’s better than everybody else, so nobody really can say they’re friends with him, save the millers themselves. And if he had his way, even they wouldn’t be able to claim friendship with him. He is terrified to go in the caravan, seeing it as only a death sentence. During travels, he still tries to stay apart and aloof from everybody. Over time, though, they are able to get him to come out of his shell bit by bit, particularly Sares.
About Ra Soul:
She’s the older of two children in the town’s fisherman family.
She is also quiet and aloof, but not intentionally. She just never has much to say. The others are rather intimidated by her, especially after seeing for themselves how strong she is in their first monster encounter. They do, however, also see that she does have a soft heart, and that allows them to actually get close to her.
About Sares:
Lives with the merchant family, but helps out the farmers, as that’s what she knows to do. Used to live on the farm with her family, actually, but three years before the caravan started, a fire broke out and both her parents died in it. The merchants took her in, and she managed to get help from other townsfolk to restart the farm, and is able to leave it in good hands when she leaves on the caravan. She specializes in magic, being a force to reckon with once she has a magicite or two, but if all she has is a sword, she’s not particularly skilled. Only really talks to Faron at first, since they’d developed a sibling bond over the three years she spent with his family, but sees something in Daal Yi that intrigues her. She manages to get him to open up to her (slowly after a long while), and she herself opens up to the others. She and Cari Na did bicker as well, as she hates a know-it-all attitude, though that fades as time passes too.
About Faron:
The middle child of the huge merchant family, having 10 siblings in total, 11 if you count Sares. He’s easily the second-strongest fighter in the group, balancing out well with Sares when they team up. Is near useless when dealing with magic. He is also quiet, but it’s only because, like Ra Soul, he never has much to say. He does like to be around people, as it’s what he’s used to with such a large family, but just never says much. He’s a very good listener, though.
About Zachali:
The alchemist family used to move around the country, travelling to various places to study with their two sons, Zachali being the oldest, but once his little sister was born, they settled down. Consequently, he’s surprisingly knowledgeable about different locations and lands, proving himself to be quite invaluable when he’s called on for the caravan two years later. This knowledge also is what gives him suspicions about where Daal Yi is from, though he doesn’t mention it. He respects privacy. Has a country accent. Had a crush on Cari Na, but then had to be in a caravan with her for several years and realized his crush choice was not a good one. Loses it fairly quickly. The most ‘gentleman’ of the group.
About Cari Na:
The snobbish baby of the rancher family that feels a bit overlooked because of her older brother and sister. So she constantly flaunts what smarts she has, which gets her into trouble with Sares a lot during their travels, as her ‘knowledge’ isn’t always right. She also hates how immature Zef Det is, despite being quite immature herself, and the two constantly argue. It didn’t really help that she’d had a crush on his older brother and had been hoping he’d be in the caravan instead. She ends up being the target of several of his pranks, and ends up firing back with a few of her own, and calls him ‘Zet Def’ for good measure. As time passes, which it has a habit of doing, the two’s arguments (as well as arguments with Sares) become fewer and further in between, and eventually die down almost entirely. She does learn when to open her mouth and to actually check and make sure information is correct before sharing it, and learns how to actually be friendly towards people. It takes quite a lot to get her there, though.
So yeah! Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles characters that I came up with (w/ loads of help from miraculouskittens) four years ago! Kinda wanna do a comic thing about their story, but also kinda wanna write it instead?
Idk I’ll figure it out. I think I still have a very loose storyline written for like. Their first year. Somewhere on this laptop. Or maybe it’s on a flash drive? \shrugs
Anywho ye. I think I might do color refs of em at some point. I’m wanting to change what they look like, at least slightly, b/c those are the character models from the game and I kinda wanna make em a bit more unique and their own. Ye.
