The time has finally come to share the artwork I made for the Twilight Princess zine: Near Dawn ! It was so fun, I was very inspired to draw these haunting beasts from my younger days…

I decided to redo an old zine piece of mine from about 5 years back. I really love how this new version came out; I feel like this really shows the progress I've made in my art over the past several years.

I started playing Twilight Princess recently and that game is so peak

it reminds me so much of ocarina of time, (which makes sense bc it’s like technically it’s sequel—three-quel? if that’s the word for it, i dunno.) and i’m playing the wii version, so it also reminds me of skyward sword bc of the motion controls. muscle memory from both of those games has both saved me, and slightly inconvenienced me.

i’ve been trying to work on drawing backgrounds, bc ya girl is not good at those, and i think i did alright!

The gray cat known as Faron debuted in Peanuts on this day in 1961!

Not to be confused with “The Cat Next Door,” Faron is Frieda’s cat who forever wants to be held. Snoopy refers to him as a “boneless cat” due to his perplexingly slinky body.

Faron’s time with the Peanuts gang was short-lived; he appeared in only 12 strips in 1961 before Charles M. Schulz decided he’d rather explore Snoopy’s imaginative life than the classic cat-and-dog dynamic.

TRIVIA! Faron’s namesake is the country singer Faron Young, whom Charles Schulz admired.
