Halldis,

          I hope everything reaches you in one piece. Brynja said I was going a bit overboard with the straw, but I figured too much was better than too little. Your aunt was very kind when I went by to ask about your things. I told her that you might appreciate hearing from someone from that side of the family, but I'm not sure if anything will come of it. I hope that it will.

          Anyway, this is all I saw in your old room that I thought you might like to have. I know you always loved your rocks and seashells, and after hearing about that dream of yours, I thought you'd be happy to have your dolls back. There was a jewelry box as well, and several necklaces, bracelets, and a whole pile of earrings, but I kind of doubted that you'd care too much about that. If that's something you'd want, let me know and I'll have it sent to you as well. Sigga said that she would set it aside until I hear from you.

          I'm sure you're wondering about the lute. Truthfully, I almost didn't send it. Anka always made it so miserable and stressful for you, and I know how much you hated it back then. But I've heard you play, and you were much better than what she ever gave you credit for. If you don't want it, I'm sure it'll fetch a nice price, but I hope you'll keep it.

          Hope you're doing well. Brynja sends her best wishes, she wants to come along for the next visit, if you wouldn’t mind. I think the two of you would get along quite well.

(Rognar) “I dazzled him with my… wits.”

[Prompt]

“Your wits, huh?” Tort replied with a short laugh. “Well, I’m sure he was so caught off guard, he just walked away. And you just managed to fall down the stairs and hit your head, huh?”

[tortulja]

(Rognar) “’Hates him with the fire of a thousand suns.’ That’s a direct quote.“

[Prompt]

Tortulja laughed, but covered her mouth and attempted to smother the sound. Eventually, she cleared her throat and managed to quiet down after a final snicker.

“He is... rough... around the edges.”

(Rognar) “…I think I heard something.”

[Prompt]

“What did it sound like?” The Nord asked, studying the fellow man’s face before turning his attention to the woods around them. It wasn’t yet night, but some dangerous creatures didn’t need the cloak of darkness to hunt.

(Rognar) “Don’t let anyone ever make you feel like you don’t deserve what you want.”

[Prompt]

“Oh, boy-o, trust me,” he replied, grinning before taking a deep swig from his tankard, “I don’t.”

He was about to take the shot, but the voice broke hisconcentration. “Please,” his arm relaxed, and he turned his head towards theman, “shut up. I’m not afraid oflosing, but I need to concentrate.”

With that said, he focused on the target – a slightly moreintoxicated fellow holding a shield, balancing a tankard on his head – and aimedthe dagger.

(Rognar) “I dazzled him with my… wits.”

[Prompt]

“Did ya now?” The Breton asked, raising a brow at the Nord, clearly skeptical. “...is ‘wits’ the name’a yer fist or..?”

(Rognar) “Why would they do it?”

[Prompt]

“Most of the guards say because they’re idiots and troublemakers,” Olo replied with a small frown. “I imagine it might be a bit of that… and also a bit of desperation too.”
