Rogue Review “Blood Harmony”

After a few festivals, I was able to make my way to Veni Vidi Vici to see the Murray ladies sing their way through their fan-favorite show, Blood Harmony. The acapella duets were gorgeous in timbre, ranging from Celtic standards to shanty tunes and a few modern songs. Infused with some fun banter and context, Blood Harmony is always a sure-fire ticket for enjoyment at the Rogue Festival.

What elevates Blood Harmony above just a music performance is how well the Murray ladies tell the story by leaning on the lyrics to convey the message of each song. The storytelling aspect never gets lost among the harmonies, melodies, and unison vocals. Usually a staple of the Rogue lineup, keep your eyes and ears peeled for them next year so you can be sure not to miss them!
