Harley had bent at the waist, to give him a sweeping bow, as part of her greeting - and so - as he delivered his veiled insult about pride, her face was perpendicular to the floor, hiding the somewhat suddenly fixed nature of her smile. It disappeared completely however, as she straightened up and he continued to disparage her - in a way so blatant that even she couldn’t pretend to ignore it.
“Wha’d’ya want, Eddie?” She asked, tone dull and disdainful - a far cry from her jocular and enthusiastic greeting. She could point out that just because he couldn’t see henchmen didn’t mean they weren’t lurking... But it would be just like him to take out the help before announcing his presence.
