During the year of the spirits, there was a bit of a twist. Usually wandering spirits were just granted the power to speak and walk amongst the living. However, now they were strong enough to possess other felines. Elsi was one of the unfortunate few to take over. She made it way to easy by already holding in her unresolved trauma and anger. Ajax, the spirit who took over, took advantage of this. Eventually Elsi was able to regain her senses through an exorcism. However, the damage was already done. Unfortunately, she also ended up lashing out one of the felines that she still hung out with and to some degree mentored - Novak. After realizing what'd she done, Elsi makes an attempt to apologize.
