Hi, Nonny! Yes, Rointheta and her work are sorely missed.We don’t know her personally, but I can tell you she left online fandom to pursue original fiction. Some authors are able to leave their work available (or even continue to write new fanfic!), but others aren’t. I believe many major publishers require an author to “cease availability” of works such as fanfic before they’ll consider working with the author. (That could be out of date, but it’s always been my understanding…)The deletion of her fics was a huge loss for the fandom, but our loss is the world’s gain and we wish her nothing but the best. My hope is that she’s successful, happy, and fulfilled, and a much wider audience is now benefiting from her talent. ♥
