DISMALIA ~ The Hellish Barons of the Anomaly beneath Phobos.
Type: Regal Demon.
Location: The Anomaly beneath Phobos. The Cryptic Caverns.
[Context: A wound or crack in the West side of the citadel of Phobos in Dismalia that leads to the Underworld of ITH].
Anteapocalyptic Nobles once imprisoned by the scars of the underworld, the ancestral ruins of the ancient demonic royalty sever and bleed reality as their non euclidean structures pierce through the surface, their deep slumber ended. Beneath Phobos, they awaken. Time for hunting. It took the arduous efforts of Phobos's team of Elite Rokyu Warriors to track the location of one of those Barons. However, the fierce Slayers did not expected this hunt to turn against them, becoming the hunted. Only the Baroness Donna prevailed in the end, with her sight lost performing a final beheading flight through a burst of acidic Balefire bled through the spell scars of the Baron’s arm.
SPOILS OF DONNA’S HUNT AND SLAYING:
- The Head trophy of a Regal Baron of Hell. The crest is left intact. As well as the brain. It continues to whisper. Telepathically. The feeling, perceived, is unmistakable. Radiating its demonic half life. It's echos, a quick memory overflow of the Demon, still pulsing inside of the head. It's full of Phlegm. Viscous viridian brain fluid. Conducting the telepathic transmission louder . Irradiating nightmarish essence, radioactively. Like a battery. The crest of a Baron can control and dominate the will of lesser Demons through an imperial aura of demonic divinity.
- Their flesh cloaks, or "jacket". Meaty, with layers of subcutaneous demon fat to absorb any physical wounds. Quick to regenerate. Flexible and elastic. Half living to exchange vitality in times of need.
- As a strange talisman it had hidden inside of its chest jaws.
This is an amorphous plasmatic mystic blood seal, greenish in color, which takes the shape of a Berelithian Communion ones it coagulates on telepathic command, then dissolves once more. It is used by Demons that manipulate the Mystic arts to enhance their communion with the Nightmare Above, in Spell Sigil casting and craft.
- A Regal Demon heart that did not belong to the Baron, but was wardened quite relentlessly by the whole horde.
This Regal Devil heart was seized by hand from the innards of an ancient Tyrannical Demon. Preserved with alchemical compounds for millennia only for it to be stolen by that Baron of Hell. In order to take back a borrowed power.
Riddled with baneful eyes, horns and jaws, this grotesque organ continues to beat vivaciously and non rhythmically, whispering tales of cosmic terror. An offering used in the Berelithian Demonic Communion rituals to obtain a divine if stable balanced connection with the Nightmare Above and absorb the power of cosmic demons. Consume a demon's heart at the altar of baneful fire to make its power yours.
Indeed, this is an ancient practice that predates the new kingdoms of humanity. Demonic Communion in the early centuries of the Eternal Hunt is too primal in nature for the term "Spell Channeling" to be appropriate, so it is considered amongst historians as an Invocation or primordial nightmarish force that used Zathanic bodies as resonant vessels. The transient mutations that their bodies went through to invoke these reality altering powers is yet to be fully understood by today's demonologic scholars.
For in the end, the search of power and knowledge requires one to plunge into the depths of arcane secrets to tear apart and rip out true strength, as if one tore the heart from a demon’s chest. It causes Nightmarish Sigils from the Nightmare Above to manifest viscerally through their skin, carving their way like constellations in flesh and bone.

These Barons will be important for the development of the Abyssal Eye Demon Hunt. [The previously planned "main story of DISMALIA"]. The Barons are servants of The Broken Queen of Terror, and enforcers of the Six Eyed Royalty.
