Tommy's column about Life
Everybody has heard of them at least once. Those things that just don't seem to cease to exist, that won't vanish under any circumstances, and sometimes even evoke anger from the person in front of you. What am i talking about, you may ask? About stereotypes, of course! An example that goes through my head right now is that all American people are fat, have guns everywhere(even in the fridge, if you look hard enough, past the burgers and hotdogs), and that they suck in geography. Well what can i say, those people do have a lot of fastfood restaurants, their gun laws are more like “If you can squeeze a trigger, you can have one of these fabolous guns” and their nation is so big, that they need a GPS just to get to their supermarket! Of course, we also have those stereotypes about countries in Europe, such that Dutch people are tall, greedy and fight for a penny, Germans are stuck in lederhosen and are on a bratwurst & beer diet, and French people just don't seem to get their hands down when you point something in their direction(occaissonally with a “We surrender!”). Seems pretty handy when you need a hand with something though. But yeah, those stereotypes are sometimes negative, sometimes postive, and sometimes it doesn't even know what it is. It's just that simple for people like me who don't really think much about that subject anyways. After all, it's just a stereotype; it doesn't mean that every Frenchman surrenders at the slightest unexpected movement you make, that not every Dutchman is a greedy giant(although they come pretty close), and so forth. Therefore, don't take those stereotypes seriously. Nothing good comes out of it when you do. And absolutely no offence for all those people who feel insulted by the stereotypes i just pulled out of the box, of course.

Tommy's Column about Life
Pants. Appearing in various sizes, colours and materials, those are the things that you always wear when you go somewhere(unless a skirt or a kilt is more your thing). Some conceal your wide thighs, some are worn while you work out, and some are so short and revealing you might just as well don't wear any at all! Of course, it's not just the kind of pants that you have to get, it's the SIZE that counts in Muggle Society. Many Muggle girls either wear pants that are too tight to show the boys that are they “slim”(although they might kill their nerves with that) or skirts that go up everytime the wind picks up. Muggle boys however, don't seem to have a problem with the latter; the baggy pants they are wearing don't come with suspenders, and therefore give the rest of the world a free preview of their underwear. If they don't wear any...then you should probably shield your eyes. So if you are planning on going out at a Muggle party, make sure not to wear any pants that are too tight, it's not only unhealthy for you, but also quite embarrassing. Just try to bend over, and within no time flat your pants split in two, revealing your awesome underwear with hearts on it. Also, make sure to get one of those fancy belts or suspenders when you wear pants that need some growing into; holding your pants up with your hands isn't going to make a good impression with the ladies. Not to mention that suspenders can be quite cool if you know how to make it fashionable(pink ones really bring out the colour of your undershirt, you know that?), so don't be ashamed to use those fancy things. It is better then when your pants drop to the ground when you're talking to a cute girl/boy as well, don't forget that!
