Hey, hey, hey! I would love to recommend my friends new roleplay: Bottom of the River! It's loosely next generation Harry Potter based. All original characters, set in modern day New York with its own hidden wizarding world facing the darkest of shadows. The third rise of the Second Salemers hell bent on exposing & exterminating magical folk in America. Hope you will check them out & recommend them! They've really put in so much work! Plot:

The world as the students at Hogwarts know it is rapidly changing: alliances are forming, and violence is exploding where those ties fall apart. New forces are rising in the places where the gaps of Lord Voldemort left off – the world is no longer dominated by those seeking peace. Werewolves fight for their independence in the heart of London, while vampires and other supernatural creatures contemplate joining them. In the hallways of Hogwarts, the students find themselves suddenly thrust into the fight: with one student among them already turned into a beast on the full moon, others find themselves plagued by dark figures, waking dreams that are more than simply dreams, and haunting memories of the London explosion, many are wondering where it will end. Who will fall next?

The current year is 2013, and the wizarding world is just beginning to heat up. After a random break in at Gringotts, attacks in Hogsmeade, as well as the supernatural creatures that inhabit the wizarding world crawling from their caves wreaking violence across the country, tensions within the wizarding community are beginning to rise. No one seems to be able to find the person – or persons – responsible, leading many to wonder if, or when, it will stop. While this rages on, the students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry boarded the Hogwarts Express on September 1st and headed back for another year of learning, friends, and adventure. But what they didn’t realize was that the outside world and all its problems may come to them – and sooner than they think.

This roleplay is one of the most well thought-out and put together next generation roleplays there is, using entirely original characters. It's original, dynamic and the roleplayers are lovely. The admins are professional, friendly and easy to talk to. I highly recommend joining if you like roleplays with intricate plots and plenty of character development opportunities.

So I can't apply for Victoire since I'm not already a member?

Oh goodness, I’m so sorry this took me so long to answer Anon, for some reason the alert just came through!

Okay, to actually (finally) answer you: no, Victoire has been set-up to be a very peripheral member of the roleplay, so she would be unsuitable to be a player’s main or only role. She won’t get to be around often, much of her interaction will be done through letters save when she comes to visit her family and Teddy at Hogsmeade, etc., etc. So she would be a very disappointing character to play if she was the only character one was playing. However, we love all the NextGen kids, even the ones who have graduated, especially Victoire, so we decided that since Teddy was here teaching, we could squeeze Victoire in, too. But only a little bit. Does that make sense?

However, because I haven’t disappointed you enough, I have to also say, this roleplay is very much in the early-construction stages, and won’t be ready to go for quite some time, so you can’t really apply for anyone yet. As you can see, we haven’t even posted any student bios. We were initially planning to get this off the ground earlier, but due to outside circumstances, we’ve pushed this to the back-burner, so it will be months before we come back here. I’m very, very sorry.
