Overall I think your group is super well done, your main looks really nice, I love the colours you’re working with.  What’s below the cut is only the things I think could be improved upon, and I tend to put focus on visuals since that’s what I have experience with, but this is only my opinion you don’t need to listen to it.

Visuals:

There are a few things that I would personally change, the first of which is while your character graphics are really pretty and well done, but they don’t fully match the rest of your graphics, if you managed to incorporate a bit more red into them they’d create a more cohesive look overall.

The second is that when it comes to using custom pages, I personally normally would advise avoiding them unless you can make them match super well.  For example, when it comes to the citizens and species page, while you’ve carried over the red and the grey, they kinda snap me out of the whole aesthetic of the group because they’re so visually different from your main. While custom pages can be nice and people often think they need to use them and overuse, in a case like this it might be better to just use a regular page and format them nicely on it. On top of that using black and white images on your species while all the other pages have coloured images for the main images in the front also works against you. Because while your mains background may be black and white, the thing that stands out the most is the colour on it, and suddenly there is an absence of those colours for the images and everything is very greyscaled. Make sure any image you use can be matched to look cohesive.  

The application count and the writers welcome page being on a custom pages as well seem a bit unnecessary, in the case of any custom page being used, less is more, because each one takes away from the group visually.

There are three almost successful pages you have, the first is your city tour page, because the background on it helps tie it in with your main, but that black bar across the top is pretty off-putting, if you muted it to that grey you have everywhere it would blend better.

The second is your skeleton page, because you’re using a contained page theme, which matches with the fact you’re using a contained main (if you could find contained themes for all of them it would be perfect), it would look best if it had a background like the main.

The third is almost successful, which is your hub page. I think that if you change the image to match the colouring of the ones used on your main this could look nice. Right now the darkness of it doesn’t match with the aesthetic you’re setting with your main.

Basically you’ve set up this beautiful main, you don’t need all these custom pages, they’re giving off the opposite effect as desired. When I first clicked on your group I was really impressed with how it looked, but the overuse of so many custom pages cheapens things.  If it can be on a regular page, then put it on one, and if you really want it to be on a custom page, match it as well as possible so it’s not as off-putting, you don’t want people ot feel like they’re being snapped out of the group because it doesn’t match.

CONTENT

I think your plot is very well written, I know it’s very common these days for people to include a synopsis at the end of their plot page, but in this case I don’t think you need one, as it makes sure people read the entire plot.

Your rules cover all of the basic things they need to cover, my only suggestion would be adding something in about people needing to reply to (x amount of) starters before posting their own just to make sure people are interacting with everyone.

You have an active link for a trigger page, but it does not currently lead anywhere.

SUMMARY

Basically, your group seems very well put together, and your main is super beautiful. I’d just personally eliminate any unnecessary custom pages, and try to match the few ones that work a bit better.

 (This ended up being a bit longer than my standard simple reviews because I had so much to gush about how much I love this.)

An absolute rec from me!

YES. YES. YES. You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting to see aLes Misérables group pop up. I’m a huge fan of both the book, the musical, and all three films, so you’ve already captured my heart.

At first glance I love your theme. It’s clean, easy to navigate, and your header is perfect for the type of roleplay. Nice sidebar, gives me all the information I need without being too overcluttered with graphics and tons of quotes and lengthy explanations. Some people might consider too simple, but for me, it’s exactly what I want.

Plots great, it’d be pretty difficult to create a poor plot based onLes Misérables. I love how you’ve adapted it for the modern era, including social media, and the fact that the roleplay will be character driven is fantastic. So often plot-based roleplays can get confusing and stressful trying to keep up, so A+ choice there.

I want to take a special moment to appreciate the suggestion of Alberto Rosende as Combeferre. That right there is my dream. All your faceclaim suggestions are great, I love the idea of Lindsey Morgan as Eponine, and John Boyega as Enjolras might be my new obsession. One thing I really notice on your masterlist page is that you leave the gender of a lot of characters up to the player, which is nice and could potentially give you a lot of diversity there. I like that you have a page for keeping players updated on what’s previously happen in the group, and a triggers page is always great. An inspo blog is super helpful for both new and existing players, good job there (just make sure you keep it updated pretty often, nothing worse than having an inspo blog that gets one new post a month)

Your application is good, detailed enough to give you and the applicant a good grasp on the character. Some people are put off by having to write quite a lot in the application, but as you’re a literate roleplay those people probably wouldn’t enjoy the group too much anyway, so that’s not a big problem.

The rules are great, and I love how the password isn’t just a password, it’s another thing that teaches you about the character.

I literally never finish a review without saying something negative, but I genuinely can’t think of anything bad to say. This is an absolute rec from me, thank you for making a POC heavy Les Mis RP, and I wish your roleplay the best of luck and the best of writing!

From the last time I reviewed you months ago your theme has come along so far! I honestly love it, I’m a big fan of themes with a header and a sidebar graphic in the them. It’s aesthetically pleasing, none of the colours are throwing me off like last time, everything blends together very well! The only issues I had was the text seemed a little small, which is something you can fix by going into the HTML and just upping the font size.  The only other problem was that your ‘next page’, did not travel with the page and you had to scroll back up to find it. 

Graphics:   ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★★☆

I love the graphics you have now, last time I remember you had very good graphics, but they didn’t quite match up. Now all of your graphics have the same theme going to them, and nothing is distracting me. You managed to be simplistic and intricate at the same time.  I really enjoy the black and white theme with the gold detailing, I find that to be great touch, that ties your graphics back in with your theme!

Plot:  ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★  ☆

Your plot is fantastic! You’ve fleshed things out and added more details that really add to a readers understanding of your roleplay. You’ve managed to get the idea of just what exactly you’re doing with this roleplay,  and what players should expect across very well. There was a  grammatical error I noticed, and it was just a missing word in a sentence.‘At least once in their life, a person of Barton Hollow was accused of witchcraft or voodoo.’. The only other issue I had was just a thematic issue with the text being small. 

Characters:  ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆

Same as last time your characters are very well done, you’ve used a good variety of different races and ages. ( A lot of roleplays like to stick in the white male/female 20-30 age range so it’s refreshing)  You’ve used a lot of known and underused faceclaims, so there’s something familiar and something new for everyone. They’re very well written, you’ve added enough that the player can understand who they’re playing, but left it open so they can explore and develop them. But I’d go over all the links on your masterlist, some of them do not lead to bios.

Overall score:  ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★☆( Your roleplay has come along so far! Everything looks good, and comes across very well! I hope this was helpful, but I didn’t really have to much to critic most of it was just nit-picking the little things.)

I’m going to classify this as a review since those are the opinion pieces I do! So here you go love!

I really like your theme, the use of a sidebar and a header image works very well together. You kept it pretty simple for the colours on the theme which I personally am a fan of, it makes it look nice and is easy to read. Your theme is very easy to navigate on, I didn’t have to search or hover over things to figure out what the links were. I LOVE the coding on it, not a lot of roleplays work with stylizing the text on their theme as well as posts, I thought it made things flow together very well. 

Graphics:   ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆

Your graphics really work for me, the filters and textures you’ve used add a grainy look that makes things seem very mysterious.  Your side bar and header are great, both detailed and interesting. I don’t find them to be overwhelming or cluttering anything which is always an added bonus.  I like your character graphics, I’ve always been a big fan of the PSD you’ve used for it and I think it works very well. In a way I almost prefer the character teaser graphics, they’re simple and classy. Promo graphic wise I think they’re great, the follow the current pull for ‘aesthetic board’ looking graphics which I find great! (The only thing I may suggest is having a promo blog for it, so when you open you don’t spam players dashes with promo posts) 

Plot:  ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

You’ve put just enough info in your side bar to have people looking for the plot page to read the rest.  The full plot I found to be very interesting, you explained the idea of the roleplay in detail not leaving out any important pieces that might cause questions. You got what you want to do with the roleplay across very clearly! I find it very unique, you’re taking the normal Teen Wolf, vibe and almost throwing in a Bates Motel town to it. The corruption, and gang war certainly make it stand out! 

Characters:  ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆

You only have one full bio up for me to look at, and from it I’d say you’re doing a good job at sticking to the canon character; but at the  same time leaving it open enough for their to be room for the player to expand on them and add their own take to it.
