Hey again, sorry for bothering you, but I was wondering if you could tell me how the heck you write starters? Like, are there rules or something? Thanks! :)

Oh, easy!

Just start with a text post and write away!

The things you should tag are:

open —(for anyone to reply to)starteric —(optional, so people know for sure it’s your muse and not you. I only use ‘open’ and ‘starter’)

Another thing is when you write the starter, it can be your muse talking to him/herself, singing, doing whatever or talking to another muse! 

Some general examples are:

“Ughhh—Today is so hot out!” Beth exclaimed as she wiped the sweat off her brow with dainty fingertips.

Beth was walking down the street, whistling a tune to herself when she bumped into a figure and knocked whatever the other person was holding out of their hands. “Excuse me! I’m so sorry!”

Beth had her head down on the table, arms wrapped around herself as she sobbed quietly against the granite top. She felt someone’s hand on her shoulder and she turned up watery green eyes and blinked out a few tears at the person showing her comfort…

Alright. Here's the deal kiddies. I know that the activity page for Tumblr is a piece of shit and like 99% of us don't get notified that we've gotten replies and it really makes life tedious and annoying as an RPer on Tumblr.

What this does:                         Tracks all your threads                         Tells you who owes what {whether its your turn or theirs}                          Takes you straight to the thread for easy reply

How to do it:                         Sign up!                         Once you're signed up, hit add a blog and it'll look like                         this:

                        From there, you will put in your blog name, i.e. mine                         would be maggsmakesmanips and it'll make a link under                         the All Blogs title                         Once you've got that, click add a new thread and it'll                         take you to this:

                        In there, you will add the threads post ID. Everything on                         the thread tracker has instructions so it's super easy.

And then you're done! you can add all blogs on there and see everything from there. Seriously. Do it. It's so good and easy.

so this is a rp tutorial i made for my friend.

1. Okay, here is the reply. Yay, reply. For a starter, it's the exact same, only with the first few steps taken out.

2. Highlight what you have said previously and the gif used. Delete it.

3. This is where you begin if you're making a starter only. So yeah, type whatever you want to type, idk, I don't control you.

4. Once you have typed your shit, click the 'html' button.

5. Welcome to what makes the shit you post. Okay, go to the start of your text (this isn't a compulsory option, but I prefer it). Click the space between the text and the <p> thingy.

6. Type <sub> in the space between. Once you've done this, click the 'html' button again to return to the normal editor.

7. Click on the small button which looks like a camera. This will open your documents folder or whatever.

8. Welcome to your GIF folder. Select the gif you want, which is what suits what your character is saying. Once you've found the perfect GIF, click the 'open' button and wait for your GIF to upload. This normally takes under a minute, unless your internet is really slow.

9. Type the URL of the person you're rping with. DO NOT TYPE THE URL WITH THE DASHES INCLUDED, THAT SHIT DOESN'T WORK. Whenever you tag someone in something, do NOT include the dashes in their url. You can also tag whatever you want, such as comments, or tags you want the post to go to. For example, when making an open starter, you can tag 'open.' I usually tag 'open' and sometimes 'rebekah mikaelson rp' or 'tvd indie rp' so more people see my shit.

10. Click the 'post' button once you're done.

11. You've done. Woo. Now, wait for replies or whatever, go reblog some shit, go play outside, idk and idc.
