“You bled him dry!” He felt sick, his head swimming as the iron scent strengthened in the air, acting as a reminder of the corpse that lay on the ground behind him, pale and bent in some hellish position that was likely only bearable in death. He could practically taste, and the mere knowledge that the other did and enjoyed it made his mind reel. How had he gotten here, exactly? What made him agree to help? “You-” Silas stopped, swallowing back against the thickness in his throat as he tried to step away, but his body was swaying too much for him to be able to hold himself up. If he wasn’t careful, he’d end up passed out on the ground, and he wasn’t certain whether or not the other would care enough to pick him up. 

“You said you’d only take a little, and you killed him.” Suddenly, his stomach turned and he fell to his knees, dry-heaving loudly, but with every retch, nothing came up, and the air only became thicker with the scent and taste of iron.
