[ stargazing ] sender takes receiver stargazing. (From Kana- Any verse)
It had been such an evening.. One that made Kagami run from home and right to the place where he did feel safe and sheltered: Kaname. Of course Hashirama was a bit suspicious about why the Uchiha would come there late in the evening, but he let it pass, just telling the teens to be home before it gets too late.
Kaname could see that something had happened at home again, there was that lost look in the Uchiha's eyes about the things that he never really dared talking about-.. but that Kaname often could suspect of happening. He was restless, flinching at shadows even though he tried to hold it back as good as he could. And as much as she wished she could erase that pain, the ugly truth is that there isn't much that can be done about it.
What had manifested quickly though, is that Kaname was probably the only person he never flinched away from, so when she grabbed his hand with that warm smile, he only looked up curiously before she tugged him along. Their feet quickly carried them down the gravelly street, the stones crunching under their sandals as they quickly made their way towards the less populated grassy fields.
Kaname quikly had them both seated in the grass, near a small little creek that separated from the Naka river. The soft sloshing of the water was soothing, adding to the almost serene athmosphere of this place and not before long, did they look up to gaze into the stars.
The tenseness in Kagami's shoulders slowly faded, he found himself being oddly at peace while seeing nothing but the soft shine of the stars above. "Sometimes... I wish we could be somewhere else.. In a different and better life." Kagami whispered after a while, his eyes never tearing away from the sight. "... I wonder if we could be brighter under the same stars at a different place.."
And yet, I do feel that warmth and happiness.. while I am with you. It was only spoken to his own thoughts, yet still he rested his head on her shoulder, forgetting slowly what he had ran way from, so he could enjoy this moment.
