This was fun and relaxing. When I was growing up, people didn't care all that much about our traditional wear. The "ie" was mostly asociated with what our grandparents wore and were seen as old fashion but in a bad way. Now i'm not sure when this started, but some time after facebook came out, a number of Romanian bloggers started campaigning and promoting the inherent beauty of our old ways. Out of nowhere people started being proud of their traditional dress and blouses in the span of a few years. Nowadays there's public events and holidays like Skirtbike where people gather arround in the main cities to show off their ie's.
