THERE IS NOT A NATURAL LACK OF INTELLECT. on the contrary. some smarts have gotten her to where she is. COLLEGE has never been for the uneducated & GLINDA is no different. despite her wealth , her grades in high school were nothing to be laughed at. not quite genius level , but she did well for herself. BEAUTY did not take away from the brain. if anything , it assisted in getting help when needed. & the blonde was not one to shy away from HELP when she knew it to be a necessity.
of course , as she got further into the world of THEATRE , a realization dawned upon her. grades , while important at her university , would have no affect on whether she became a MOVIE STAR. not to say that she stopped trying , but there was more – use in her POPULARITY. why write papers on your own , when someone can do it for you ? not an overly common occurrence , but it does happen from time to time. mainly in ONE specific class. one that has given her troubles for years -- SCIENCE.
it’s not that she doesn’t comprehend the subject matter. she does – on some level. it’s that it won’t stay in her BRAIN. she hasn’t given up. not quite. it’s too late to drop the class , & she’s definitely not going to FAIL if she can help it. so , the only option is to ask for some aid.
hazel orbs remain on the girl throughout the ENTIRE class period. she’s quick to note the capacity at which this girl’s mind devours SCIENCE. surely , she’ll be happy to do her homework -- help her study. the blonde takes her opportunity after class , taking a seat beside the young woman. the smile is plastered upon features , holding out a FRIENDLY hand.
