romanticizing my summer ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆
my summer is looking to be very mundane- i moved AGAIN, to a place where i know nobody. no friends, no travel, all summer. not even my own room. so far, i've been despairing. what the fuck am i going to do for the next two and a half months?
most likely, you're not in my specific predicament, but maybe your just bored and lonely and have a sweltering summer ahead of you. just like most of my posts, this is going to be specific to me, but if it helps you, yay!!!
my summer, so far
doom scrolling
rotting
crying
little to no movement all day
eating bad
indoors all day
literally doing nothing beneficial
hating my life
"productive" things i should do
STEP AWAY FROM SOCIAL MEDIA!!
sign up for some stuff!? (art classes, tennis, guitar...)
work on learning croatian
workout
tan!!
research my area- find cool shops
read books as well as online essays and articles
journal
write
practice mindfulness and manifestation
scenarios to find myself in
walking anywhere
paying a visit to Starbucks
walking to the diary queen and wearing the closest to vintage americana outfit i have
journaling by the pool
tanning by the pool and listening to music
going to the gym in the morning and making myself a smoothie bowl afterwards
dedicating time to appreciating my life and visualizing my desires
being present and romanticizing moments
eating consciously
replace scrolling with watching movies or video essays
when shopping, buy thoughtfully- instead of buying mass produced items, look for unique pieces
doing chores and making some money
form routines
learning how to style my hair
painting my nails
i need to spend more time outdoors... this cooped-up life’s been getting me down
