So last night we tried some of the local cuisine here in Phnom Penh #Tarantula #Romdeng #restaurant #PhnomPenh #Cambodia

Romdeng

That night we went to eat at Romdeng, a restaurant that takes in vulnerable children and helps train them as waiters and cooks, giving them jobs without which they would otherwise be begging on the streets or working underage in factories.

Their food is good and they have a small shop upstairs selling small handicrafts made by other vulnerable children and women.  The staff, almost all young men, are always happy to greet another customer and serve traditional Khmer foods, including tropical fruits, curries, and tarantulas.
