The Mitt Romney victory speech tonight makes it clear; he considers this a clinching affair. He's made no mention to this point of his GOP rivals, beyond some mild congratulations at the top of his speech. Rather, his remarks were almost entirely dedicated to attacking President Obama on a wide range of issues. Some quick hits:
"I will not just slow the growth of government, I will cut the spending of government... and without raising taxes, I will finally get America to a balanced budget."
"Leadership is about taking responsibility, not making excuses."
"President Obama has adopted a policy of appeasement and apology. I will stand up for those seeking freedom, and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our friends around the world."
"Like his colleagues in the faculty lounge, President Obama demonizes almost every innovator."
"If this is a contest over who can promise the most goodies, I am not your President. You have that President now."
