The Romulan Fleet
The Organians in...
Star Trek: Year Four: You wanna fight, fine, fight, what do we care, we’re done here. But if you so much as ogle Preserver tech we’ll come down on you like a ton of bricks:
Star Trek Romulans: Schisms: We’re very disappointed in the lot of you, we take our eye of you for one second and the Klingons are using the Romulans to try to start a war with the Federation. Tsk. Tsk.
(these two stories were released within a couple of years from each other, both from IDW and both featured Kor in a post-TOS setting. Kor literally gets to be surprised by Starfleet and their cloaking devices twice and that they can now fire on him)
Oh and the first run of Star Trek DC Comics back in the 80s (issues 1-4):
The Organians don’t say anything as they are first prisoners of the Excalbians so they manoeuvre the Klingon Empire and Starfleet into war, until Kirk frees them, and both ancient races fight an eternal battle in another plane of existence, never to be seen again. Oh and all of this takes place between Star Trek II & III
