Romulea rosea is a widespread environmental weed in Australia, originally from South Africa. It is actually very drought tolerant, but here in Western Australia they happily grow in a wetland.

Worldbuilding: Take 8 - Realms + Magix

Before someone asks, yep it looks like messed up Earth, cuz it is. It is commonly refered to as Vathrú. It’s located in the parallel Milky Way (the Magical Universe).

I have already explained what inspiration I want to use for some Realms, so let me explain the other 10:

Callisto - Carthagian civilization (they cool)

Dolona - Ancient Egypt (Eleanor (that one girl in 2 episode) has blue hair and Egyptians had that too at least on painting)

Graynor - no ‘native’ human inhabitants 

Haepos - no ‘native’ human inhabitants

Hoggar -  Byzantine Empire (Hagen resembles the Santa from ROTG, he is based of Saint Nicholas who was born in Turkey while it was a part of BE)

Obsidian - no willing inhabitants

Ohm - no ‘native’ human inhabitants

Oppositus -  no ‘native’ human inhabitants

Romulea -  Southern Ndebele people (the queen has been obviously based of women from the Southern Ndebele people, considering her neck)

Symeria - Byzantine Empire (used to be part of Hoggar)

#3521 - Romulea rosea var. australis - Guildford Grass

AKA Onion Grass sand Rosy Sandcrocus.

Native to the western Cape Province of South Africa, and introduced to Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and California. An environmental weed in much of the country here. Three other varieties are also now found in Australia, but this is definitely the most invasive. Found in a wide variety of soil types - probably a major factor in its rapid spread. The corms are a popular food with our smaller parrots, at least.
