Contemporary Jazz Quintet: 1969 Medley
The Comtemporary Jazz Quintet, with pianist/composer Kenny Cox, trumpeter/composer Charles Moore, tenor saxophonist Leon Henderson (Joe's brother), bassist Ron Brooks and drummer Danny Spencer, made two excellent Blue Note albums in 1968/69 and were a vital part of the Detroit scene into the '70s. This clip from 1969 features them on a medley of Number Seven/Snuck In/Number Three. A rarity, but I wish the performances had stretched out a bit.
